The check-in was smooth & we can request to check in early if there is available & ready room. the bed comfortable & praying mat is provided for Muslim Traveller which is something rare for me to see. Breakfast is recommended & tasty with lot of selection.
I did enjoyed my stay here 😄 , Our room is big , Clean & tidy 😄 , The view was nice btw , not really kind of my request ( Did request full nice view but not available at the moments , so we got instead of full nice view I got just nice view which is half of it what I did request , it's was okay because It's was my bad , should inform earlier) , Room service very excellent & Friendly ! keep it up 😄 , Housekeeping did the best to makeup our room & it's was really clean! 5 starrrr !! Front desk really friendly & helpfull 😄 , Breakfast is really aweasome ! Thank you ! Will come again soon !
We are very disappointed as there were lots of cockroaches found in our room. Even though they had helped us to change our room at the end of the day after we insisted to do so. But, certain staffs are just so ignorance and never a single apologize on the matter. So disappointing. The air-con is working but the remote to adjust temperature seems not functioning (my experience in both rooms). Other than this, the breakfast was satisfying, the room is kind of spacious and convenient since it is linked to 1 Borneo Hypermall. However, the location is a bit far from Kota Kinabalu town. Facilities wise, swimming pool and gym available. Multiple convenient shops just below the hotel.
Location: About 30 min from the Airport and 20min from the Kota Kinabalu town.
Room: The room are big with a walk-in wardrobe.
Room Cleanliness: Good
Room Toiletries: Complete with shoe polish
Breakfast: Mostly local dishes with sufficient choices.
Wifi: Free but very weak connection
Receptionist: Good and friendly
Next Door Shopping Mall: Disappointed as mostly are the local stores, no hypermarket but you may get find some restaurant.
Location not to say strategic, it's near University Malaysia Sabah(UMS), next to a hypermarket (but not so many variety of shops), 24hr convenient store , near a beach side walk. but it's far from town area and airport, wherever you want to go, you have to go through a 20 mins drive distance which cost you RM30 Grab fees.
The hypermarket have many eatery restaurant from hot pot, sushi, western to Chinese cuisine. But if you wish to shop branded or something unique, no, you can't get here. 24hr Convenient shops near by are convenient, they got snack, drinks and some souvenir here, but price sure higher a bit.
The hotel itself is up-to-standard with full range of facilities. Morning breakfast buffet variety served and taste good. Only disadvantage is the hotel do not have good view like sea ,even night street view. Check in process a bit slow as they have to photocopy guest NRIC 1 by 1 and print documents. Not handy to handle big group of guests.
Tips, there are some local roasted seafood(malay style) just across the street. I feel it taste localize and price is cheap as compare to those seaside seafood restaurant. Good thing is you can save the Grab by walking across with the flyover bridge.
