I tried to check in at 9pm on a Saturday. Staff took about 15 minutes to acknowledge my presence. They did not speak English. And they said that they were fully booked. I showed them my booking through Expedia and they indicated (at this stage through a Malay speaking guest who kindly translated for us).

I did not get to see the room, but having stayed at the Hyatt in Kuantan (currently in refurbishment) this would have been a huge step down. It resembles more of a hostel to be honest.

We didn't actually stay here, because they gave our rooms away to someone else and tried to blame server difficulties and the online booking agent. Harhar. More like someone forgot to notify the agent.

Luckily for us we had relations nearby, in this town,and the next (state, actually), to crash at.

I booked this hotel via agoda one day before and I always would like to have a window. well, when I arrived, I got a good room. but during the night I noticed , that the business next to the hotel is a discotheque. from 10pm to 5am very very noisy. despite good earplugs (not from the hotel) I had only few ours of sleep. very bad ! next day I changed the room, but without window.... this discotheque is very big disadvantage for the hotel. around the hotel some good restaurants. free wifi..
