I visited this cozy jazz bar with my wife 4 nights in a row when we visited Okinawa for our 11th wedding anniversary in July 2018. It was the perfect place for the last stop of the night as we stayed in a hotel just 3 minutes' walk away.
On our first visit, we were warmly greeted by the resident singer Megumi. She spoke fluent English and we had wonderful conversations. The star of the jazz bar must be Kam, the pianist who owns the bar with his wife. Watch his fingers caress the keys on the piano and be mesmerized by his improvisations. Different band members accompany him on different nights. Apparently, Kam used to play in the US military base in Okinawa before starting his jazz bar. They were at another location previously. The current bar has been around for 16 years. It is located on the second floor of a shop house along Kokusai street, just about 2 minutes walk diagonally across Makishi monorail station.
