we did the one day aquarium tour which was essentially nothing more than 9 hours in a bus to get to an aquarium while stopping at gift shops along the way, if you are over age 70 maybe but to us it was a total waste of a day , 30 mins at the one nice beach stop and other than that it was just running you through a pineapple and sweet potatoe gift shop the have agreements with so you can spend money, aquarium was nice but the rest of the trip / day a waste. do not recommend at all, waste of time and $$

Online booking for the tour was very easy. There are 6 pick-up points, which makes it very easy to join their tour. The bus arrived early at our pick-up point at Hotel Royal Orion. There were only 5 of us on this tour. The bus was very clean and comfortable and had audio guides in English. We departed at 8.25 am (which gave us sufficient time to have breakfast beforehand) and set off for Cape Hedo, the northernmost point on Okinawa Island. Cape Hedo was beautiful, and the views of the ocean were magnificent. Unfortunately, the stop here was only for 20 minutes, which was grossly insufficient to enjoy the place.

The next stop was at Daisekirinzan, where there were 4 trails to choose from - Wonder of Rocks Trail, Churaumi Ocean View Trail, Wheelchair-Accessible Trail and Subtropical Forest Trail. The time given was 1 hour and 20 minutes, and you can probably cover 2 or 3 trails. We made the mistake of doing the Subtropical Trail first and didn't manage to do any other trail because the ending point of this trail is already at the bus-park and we had to take the free shuttle bus to the beginning of the other trails, so we did not bother to try. The other trails all start and end at the same point, so it is easier to cover more trails if you start with these. After that, take a short walk to the beginning of the Subtropical Trail.

Nevertheless, the Subtropical trail was still very interesting. On a hot day, the shade was very welcome. Somewhere along the trail, free umbrellas were available from a rack in case it rained. So thoughtful! There is a restaurant and comfortable waiting area at the bus-park. You can buy snacks here too.

The next stop was at the Roadside Station/Yui Yui Kunigami, with snacks and souvenirs for sale. We were not interested, and since we had 40 minutes here, we decided to have lunch at the little restaurant at the entrance of Yui Yui. The food here is delicious. It would also gave us more time at Churaumi Aquarium if we had lunch here.

After that we were on our way to Churaumi Aquarium, which is part of the Ocean Expo Park, and we were given 3 hours here. The Park is a big place and includes the Dolphin Lagoon, Oceanic Culture Museum, Native Okinawan Village, Tropical and Subtropical Arboretum and Tropical Dream Centre. There is a shuttle bus which takes you to these places for free, but the fare is 100 yen to get you back to the bus-park area or the Aquarium.

The tour is very good value. The bus is clean and the guide on the bus as well as the driver were very friendly and pleasant. Ten more minutes at Cape Hedo and less that time at Yui Yui would have made the tour a little better.

Only 4 days on oki so i wanted to see as much as possible. The tour c is great for the price. The leader is very nice. The bus is a newer one. The Lunch was way better then expected. Had a steak witch was really tasty and tender. Not so big but you got a salad and dessert buffet also. The points are well chosen and all worth to see. The bus brings you and picks you up no fully guided tour which is good for me because normally i do things rather on my own. The last stop is a touristshop, but its only a short stay and if you like cake you are well placed there. Go on your own and you will spend more money.

Oh, there is no hip hop on board. Don't get that wrong.

Thank you jumbo tours

If you do not have car, joining a day tour is a good alternative to see Okinawa. I have joined Jumbo Tours Course A Tour (Nago Pineapple Park, Kouri Island, Churaumi Aquarium, Cape Manza, etc.). Price was ¥6000, entrance tickets and an audio guide were all included. There were ample time at each location for sightseeing, photo-taking and at the Churaumi, for having lunch and seeing the dolphin show. Itinerary is clearly written on their website. Booking was simple and easy. The lady tour guide accompanied on the trip was funny and helpful and definitely made the whole trip a lot more enjoyable.

We took two different tours and enjoyed them very much! Time is limited at each destination but we definitely saw a lot and the tour guides were good.
