We planned to visit Himeji Castle so we have to find somewhere to stay close. But we do not want to just pick a causal place to stay so we choose something special which turn out it is one of the best choice we had made in our trip.

Yumenoi is located in a small Onsen area. To be honest it is better to visit these small Onsen area rather than those very famous one because the area is not that crowded and nearby is surrounded by farm house and locals. Very good view and nice atmosphere.

We booked a standard room and it turns out unbelievable beautiful and big. The balcony is overlook the whole village and farm land. The sunset view is magnificent. I just stay in the balcony and enjoy the pre-heated water with nice tea during that moment. Lovely.

Onsen is really good and nice. You must try the outdoor pool. If you can visit there at night time, you can enjoy the "star show". Don't miss that.

We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel which is included in the room price. Super good! We specially order the "Salt bake Snapper: set. Fish is fresh and portion is big enough! Beef taste really good and we enjoy the whole meal. Breakfast is buffet style. You will find what you want. No complain.

They have few staffs who can communicate with limited English but with the help of "google translate" you will not have any problem for that. Just relax and enjoy.

Highly recommended and definite is one of the best Onsen experience in Japan

My son and his wife booked us private rooms with our own onsen on the balcony. We were served tea when we arrived, shown to our rooms and from there every need was supplied. We had room wear or yukatas to choose from, toiletries, appropriate footwear for every level, terry robes, and the joy of a hot bath whenever we wanted it. It was warm for January, but even in colder weather it would have been great to bathe outside. The beds were comfortable and the room quiet. The evening meal was 7 courses and beautiful to behold as well as delicious. We chose the "Western breakfast" which was also ample but visually delightful. This was a treat for us, but if you are in the market for a relaxing and luscious experience, I would recommend this ryokan.
