After a tiring night bus from Istanbul to Safranbolu, Sari, the owner, gave me a hearty welcome with hot tea and cookies, making me alive again immediately. Sari was such an amazing chef that caught your stomach and attention with both Turkish and Indonesian foods. She was the most adorable host that I've ever met. And so were her family members, her husband, her son and the dog, Huggy. They gave you a home in Turkey. As for the room, the traditional and delicate decoration impressed me a lot. Staying there truly made me feel that time went back to the past. Each curtain, carpet, or pillow case is hand-woven. Each corner of the room is decorated in detail. Though the location of Sari's Pansiyon is not in the old town, it is actually its advantage. There are plenty of other attractions in Safranbolu rather than the old town. I went to Kristal Teras, a picturesque canyon, there. It is not so far away from the pansiyon, and you can in fact walk there to enjoy the breathtaking view. If you want to find somewhere feels like home in Safranbolu, go to Sari's Pansiyon!
