We enjoyed very much this welcoming and peaceful hotel and the great view on the Kalkan coast from the overflowing swimming pool. Christine had very good tips on the places to visit and the best beaches.
The city center is just 10 minutes by walking and the hotel has a parking just in front.
The price is very fair!

I spent my birthday over in Kalkan in this simple and friendly hotel. The Allegra is a small 10 room hotel, and is superbly placed with all the rooms overlooking the wonderful bay of Kalkun, the infinity pool is quiet - possibly because its adults only - so we felt ourselves drifting off into a new layer of chilled out. What makes this hotel special is Christine, a wonderful and lovely host, we came back thinking of her as a friend rather than a hotelier. Breakfast is a simple affair of fresh fruits, cheese, fruit and toast served whilst soft French jazz whisks you off to the rooftops of Montmartre - I'm allergic to orange (yes really I know I'm weird) and Christine did the thoughtful gesture of giving me my own plate of fruits every morning - the coffee is fantastic by the way. The other guests where just as friendly, and I looked forward to seeing them everyday and catching up on what restaurant we had been to the night before. The hotel is about 12 mins walk down into town, but you do have the feeling that the west side of Kalkun is a little more tranquil and exclusive - a cab back (those hills those hills after so much food and wine is a must) is less than £3 and there's plenty of them. The rooms are basic with no fridge and tv, but we had a dvd playersband the views of Kalkun over a enormous G&T was a tad better than listening to Rageh Omaar on BBC worldwide anytime. Christine asked us to spend our last night in Kaz with two other French guests, which really summed up the whole stay, friendly welcoming and rather wonderful.

Room Tip: Ask Christine for the apple and chocolate crépes for an afternoon snack highly addictive.

We have just returned from a fantastic 10 night stay at the Allegra Hotel. We could not have been more happier with our choice of hotel for our first stay in Kalkan. Christine is a superb host and could not have been more friendly and helpful. Although the hotel was quiet, I am sure things would be just the same when it is full and with the help of Ahmet our stay was great. The rooms are not massive, but are perfectly big enough and have everything needed for a comfortable stay including cleans bathrooms and air conditioning. Each room has a sea view balcony with magnificent views out over the bay The Infinity swimming pool is great and is kept very clean and again the views are something else, I can't think many other hotel in Kalkan can offer better views. The breakfasts are just enough with bread, olives, jams, fruit and cereals prepared by the pool each morning. We also had lunch by the pool on a couple of occasion which were very tasty and drinks can be served at any time during the day. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk down a dirt road to Kalkan, again with great views all the way. The town itself offers so many wonderful restaurants many with rooftop terraces. A taxi back will cost you about £3.
The Palm Beach Club is a short walk down a very steep slope (tough coming back up) from the hotel, but it's worth the effort. Sunbeds are about £5 for the day for two people but the sea is beautifully clear and lunches, drinks, ice creams and snacks are available.
All in all, if you are not looking to break the bank, don't mind a short walk but want good accommodation, look no further than the Allegra hotel.

Room Tip: All rooms have great sea views

Just returned from the Allegra Hotel and cannot praise it enough. Scrupulously clean, delightful location with magnificent views over Kalkan harbour and bay. Christine and her team could not have done more to make this a more enjoyable and restful experience. The friendly, calm atmosphere together with fresh, beautifully presented food all added to the perfect place to recharge your batteries. Our trips were organized for us all we had to do was go out and enjoy them. We cannot believe what excellent value for money this lovely place is.
The hotel is situated within a 10 / 15 minutes stroll to the town to enjoy the delights of the many rooftop restaurants. We taxied back each evening for less than £5, but we are lazy!
Our only regret is that we didn't discover this little gem sooner, but we can't wait to return very soon.

Room Tip: All the rooms have same beautiful view with small balcony and air conditioning.

Maybe having one of the best views in kalkan, but you should not expect much. There is only a uncomfortable bed, and chairs in the room, average bathroom with no decoration, only nice balcony but again with uncomfortable chairs. Hot water was not always enough. Low service, high budget hotel. Turkish staff was nice that's all..
