This 5* hotel ticks all the boxes. A venue where you can expect bright and cheerful staff, delivering the high end of service and quality.
From the moment you arrive at this hotel it's easy to see why it is rated so highly in Thailand. The standard of the rooms is exceptional and the managment skills at the resort are noticable throughout.
Everybody raves about the all day breakfast, this doesn't mean the typical English fry up! It is an a la carte service of a vast selection of fresh and interesting foods. Attention to detail was so evident that when the kitchen staff were aware of my gluten free requirements ( which I had not made known before arriving) they immediately baked a special selection of bread and muffins for the duration of our holiday. I was so impressed.
We like to think that we are seasoned travellers and even small details are important to us. Free water is readily available both in the room, at poolside and on the beach. Cleanliness is A1 and the bathroom facilities are everything that you expect.
Wherever you eat the standard is very high with great presentation and care. If you apprieciate a romantic ambience and atmosphere you are in for a treat with the hundreds of candles which are lit every evening throughout the resort. This certainly has the WOW factor.
Now for just a few cautionary notes,
We travelled in mid April and experienced mosquito bites so although the hotel provides lots of repellant I would advise you to take your own too as theirs didn't work for us.
It may seem picky and trivial but like many other guests at the hotel that we spoke to the adding of a service charge to all your bills was a little irritating. I think most people who receive good service do not hestitate in giving their own level of tipping.
Ok now that's out the way. It was hard to fault this hotel because basically we loved every minute of it! From the minute we stepped into our Sarojin transfer car which was laden with cool soft drinks / beers, in-car music menu and many other great touches, we knew we were in for a great 2 week holiday!
Thanks to all the happy friendly staff who made our stay so perfect, Aoy, Tu, Mon, Fah, Tira, Tait and Chef Goff and all the hotel team. We would stay at The Sarojin again without hesitation and have recommended the resort to family and friends already.

Room Tip: Near the pool is good.

We had been lusting after the Sarojin for over 4 years and were really looking forward to staying here this year. Sadly, the expectation didnt match reality.

The hotel seemed a little sad and unkempt. For example, the paintwork round our private pool was peeling, in fact it was peeling around both the private pools we ended up having and one of the tiles on the pagoda fell off while we were sitting under it.

We had a problem with our room's ceiling leaking and while the staff and the Manager were brilliant in trying to get it sorted, it, literally, put a damper on the holiday.

The hotel is known locally as the "Floating Hotel" and we certainly found out why. We visited in the wet season, but apparently they had a very bad Typhoon so half the hotel grounds were flooded up to our mid calves. Made for interesting getting around as you were never quite sure what might be lurking under the water.

The other issue is that even when the grounds were not flooded, there is still a lot of water: streams and a lake, which means lots and lots of mosquitoes. The hotel tries to assist by providing free mosquito spray, but it wasnt much fun lying out by the pool or in the Spa and hearing the mozzies scream in your ear.

The Hotel has 2 restaurants, one is the Thai restaurant down by the beach. The themed night - eat as much as you like, was great. Gave us a chance to try things we hadnt had before and was very fresh and well cooked.

The other restaurant is Mediterranean and very good food. They did a themed night here too, also eat as much as you like and we are pleased to report it is great value and very delicious food.

The best thing about the Sarojin is the Staff. We could not fault them for their efficiency, friendliness and very warm hospitality. They made up for the disappointment that we felt for the hotel.

My wife and i picked this Resort at the last minute for a weekend away for her birthday and i was a great choice, we did not tell them at checkin that it was my wifes birthday but the next morning at breakfast all the staff sang happy birthday to her and she was really surprised.
On the saturday i booked a special dinner in the spa room and that also went very well and the food and wine was fantastic.
Although the resort is getting a little old now everything right down to the staff giving you chilled water around the pool is amazing.
We chose a spa room for our stay and it was very large and comfortable.
Well done Sarajin management and staff

Room Tip: Spa rooms are very large and comfortable with a spa on the deck.

By far the most magical place ever visited!

We decided to have our wedding at the Sarojin after a friend visited and gave it fantastic reviews and we are so glad that we decided to choose here.

Our wedding planner Naa was fantastic nothing was too big an ask even though there was lots of last minute changes. The location on the beach was breathtaking and the decorations were simple and elegant.

In total 9 of us that stayed at the Sarojin had a wonderful time and have all spoke about going back as soon as we can.

The food and rooms are fantastic the breakfast is served till 5pm so no need to set an alarm early to make the breakfast times.

Most of all I think the people who work there are great they made us feel so special decorated our room organising 18 people and transport around Khao Lak nothing was a problem.

Definitely will be back next year and already looking forward to it.

We spend a total of 4 nights at The Sarojin in a Pool Villa which was an fantastic overall experience.
At arrival we were greeted by a personalised reception through one of the front desk staff which welcomed us with a nice cold drink and some cold towels. After we finished the required paper work the same person took us to the Villa and gave us a detailed tour through the Villa and explained to us all the available amenities of the Resort.

One of the Resort features is a big Pool close to the beach with individual couples sun beds.

Just before arriving at the Beach you walk through the "Edge" which is the Thai food Restaurant with an attached Bar directly at the beach. The Beach itself is pretty deep and contains of mostly white sand with some areas of washed up corals and shelfs.

The staff is really friendly and the majority speaks very good English. One of our favourites was the breakfast which is available from 06:30 am until 17:30 pm. That makes it easy to enjoy also the occasional sleep in without missing the most important meal of the day.

You order the breakfast items of the menu, as many as you want and (almost) as long as you want, including Prosecco various fresh Juices, Coffe, Tea, Cold cuts, Cheese Plattern, Musli, Eggs Benedict and many more items.

Now as for the dinner, the option is all yours. We have been eaten once at the "Edge" and twice at the Italian (International) Restaurant and each time everything we ordered was extraordinary well presented combined with great taste.

Obviously this all comes with a price but we did not regret anything and will highly recommend The Sarojin to all couples who want to experience something different in an almost like home feeling.

Room Tip: Any room/villa is good, some of them offer small Pool.
