We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and booked 2 rooms. I shared room 601 with my 83 year old mum and my brother and wife stayed in 602. The room is spacious with separate bedroom and dining area. The toilet and bathroom are separate too . There are ample storage space . There is a big fridge , washing machine and large sink . There is a kettle to boil water but only 2 small glasses are provided which is not practical for hot drinks. Mugs would be better. 2 bottles of water are provided daily. The room are cleaned daily.

The location of the hotel is very good as it is within short walking distance to Olle Market, Seogwipo Port , famous for its seafood eateries. There are many cafes , bakeries , supermarkets and shops selling clothes and the many famous Korean Cosmetics boutiques.

We took bus No181 from the airport to the hotel and it cost us KRW3000 per pax. Journey time is about 1 hour 30 minutes.

Staff speaks english and are polite and helpful. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and exploring the many attractions Jeju Island has to offer..

Room Tip: We stayed at room 601 . You get the benefit of a partial sea view and view of the streets at the side of the hotel

Our room at the ocean palace was huge.Masses of cupboard space.A big kitchen with virtually nothing I It.A kettle 2cups and saucers and that’s it.Not even a teaspoon to stir the tea sachets. There is a cooker hood but no cooker.A washing machine but no drier and no balcony for drying things. The bed was like a plank. No English channels on the TV.Cups weren’t washed properly when the room was serviced although the room was cleanish.A lot of dust.Bathroom o k .The tap over the basin was loose. It is a bit Fawlty Towers. The staff tried to be helpful with limited English. There is a coffee shop and 7-11 supermarket on site. The best thing about the hotel is the position a few minutes walk to coastal road.A very pleasant resort.

Room Tip: We were on the 9th floor.Good views.Lift service good.

This hotel is the other end of Jeju Island. It takes about 1hr drive and is a very slow and lots of speed camera route. So be careful when you drive.

The location is not bad and is surrounding by plenty of restaurants, convenient stores and the best of all laundry. It is not easy to find a coin operated laundry shop in Korea. Most places will offer laundry and that only means washer and no dryer. It is not convenient for travellers to hang dry especially during short trips. Within walking distance, there is waterfall and submarine to visit.

Hotel have basement parking (left side of building).

Check in is easy and they will issue 1 door card even for a family. Reception is able to speak basic english.

Room is spacious and clean. It surrounded by glass windows so plenty of sunlight. We booked family room for 5 persons and it only have 1 double bed & 2 singles. They allocate a rollup mattress and I guess thats korean way of extra bed. Room comes with fridge, washer & kettle. Wifi is free too.

Everything is in korean, only couple of things have english translation.

Only stay for 1 night, so nothing much to explore.

Have seen many good reviews about this hotel, but after experience it myself, I would say the rating for this hotel is NOT correct.
We stay for 1 week (29-Jan-18 till 5-Feb 2018) in Oriental Deluxe Room.
Oriental Deluxe Room is big, separate dinning area from the sleeping area. (This is the only plus I found in this hotel)
The room has large windows but no nice view. Nice room decoration with washing machine. We didn’t make use washing machine because there is no dryer. The hotel provides 2 x 500ml drinking water daily, no coffee and tea. 2 small glass, no cup, no spoon, nothing else but with a big dish washing basin (just don’t know why they put a big dish washing basin there). Water heater is working fine. Hotel provide shampoo, conditional and bath gel, but no tooth paste and tooth brush.
The hotel location is just fine, nothing much special compare to any other hotels.
Hotel didn’t maintain their facilities properly, they just assign the rooms to customers even they know there are problem with it and they just hoping customer will not mind of the shortage/problem.
We have book 4 units of Oriental Deluxe Room, 2 units ended up have to change room due to WiFi not working (to be exactly there is no WiFi device install for that room). Another room have problem with the TV channels (some room TV are included the paid channels and some rooms doesn’t, so depends on your luck which room you get) and toilet bowl not working properly until someone repair it, but we didn’t want to waste our time to change the 3rd room.
Overall not much of customers’ services, this is mainly due to inefficiency in communication. Some staffs know limited English and Chinese but can’t communicate well to provide helps when requested. Some staffs only know Korean language; if you talk to them in other language, they will just look at you blindly with no action. Totally no check in before 3pm, they will ask you to wait until 3pm even there is are many rooms ready. We reached the hotel at 2:40pm, they ask us to come back to check in after 3pm. They don’t process the check in not because of room not ready, not because of staff busy on other works, they are only willing to start process your check in when the clock shown 3pm. This is the first time I encountered such hotel in my 30 over years of traveling.
For such price, I will not recommend this hotel at all.
