Avoid. Far worse than most Quality Inn properties. Strong smell of cigarette smoke in the room. Dysfunctional breakfast (waffle maker didn’t work and cereal was scooped back into dispenser after being spilled on counter). Rude, unaccommodating staff.
This hotel was fine for the great price I paid. It's close to UAlbany and that's why I was in the area. The outside was clean, lobby was spacious. Plastic shields between the customer and front desk employee is off-putting. The breakfast area was way, way too small tonaccommodate the amount of guests who would be wating at any given time. Breakfast hours were long, which was great (6-10 am). Waffles, toast, yogurt, muffins and some fresh fruit were the offerings. It was a nice assortment, but if staying longer than 2 nights yous be bored with those offering. The room was a good size for 2 double beds. We had plenty of aoace to put our bags. The bathroom had a nice vanity for laying our toiletries. Rooms seems to have been recently updated. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable which made a great night's sleep. My biggest compliant is the awful smell of the rooms. I don't know of it's a mold smell from the AC unit or what, but it was so bad on the second night after returning from a long day on Albany's campus that I had to request a disinfectant. It helped in the moment, but when i got home inrelized that all of my clothes, even the ones I hadn't worn had the terrible smell. Our room was serviced, which was a surprise. I actually would have preferred that it wasnt, but I didn't have a Do Not Disturb sign. There is a poll and small gym on-site. We didn't use either, but those are very nice amenities for longer stay customers. Check out is at 11 am promptly. We were still packing up at 11:15 when we received a knock on the door reminding us of the check out time. That was perfectly fine, as we should have been out on time. Overall, it was a good value for the price. I'd stay again, but woukd hope the smell is under control.
I was glad to see a clean lobby and room. It is good area with fast food and fine dining options nearby. The heating and cooling system works. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I would stay there again, especially if the price stays affordable.

My original review disapproces because it was too truthful about reasons why after seeing the hotel and room I refused to stay there. Originally had planbed 4 days.
Intense smell that was undesirable, smoking maintenance man in hallway added to pungent odors.
Have no complaints at all. Quiet clean room with a breakfast bar with all of the carbs you can eat plus yogurt and apples. Need to pull the shade as the parking lot lights are bright. The price for what you get is worth it. There's a Cumberland Farms right next door for snacks.
