I made a FULLY REFUNDABLE pre-paid reservation at this hotel on the Choice hotels website for a stay in late September. Since New York was making everyone from out of state quarantine for two weeks and our airlines repeatedly changed our flights, we cancelled our trip INCLUDING this hotel. However, THEY NEVER REFUNDED US OUR MONEY! I called the Choice Hotels customer phone number and, after spending over 30 minutes talking with someone and waiting on hold while he contacted the hotel, I was told the manager had to do the refund and he wasn't in. The Choice representative gave me an incident number and told me I could call back to find out what the status was after the manager reviewed the internal message the Choice rep. had sent to him about the refund. Should I have to follow up and waste more of my time when I was due a simple refund for a stay that never happened?!!! I asked the Choice rep. for an e-mail address that I could send my refund request in writing. He gave me one and I sent my refund request to that e-mail address three times and NEVER GOT A RESPONSE! This is how you treat a frequent traveler who has stayed in Choice hotels for more than 15 nights this year?!!
I'm still waiting for my refund.
