One stop on the way home

I stop at this hotel every time I travel from Georgia back to my home town in Québec. I like the place. Not a luxury hotel, but it is OK. Clean and quiet, breakfast is OK for the price ( very affordable)

We took a gamble on our way back from Maine, and stayed at a different hotel than on our way. Bad choice! This Econo Lodge is about what I have come to expect from the name, and an insult to the Choice brand.
Quite a littered parking lot, dark, and a property that has seen better days. The room was plain, no fridge, no microwave or coffee. The bathroom was disgusting, hair in the corners, and in the tub, and complete with a smear of poo on the wall.
Breakfast was a further joke, with what I assume to be the owner creeping around, watching, making sure I wouldn't steal a muffin. Never a good morning, never a thanks, just cold stares like I didn't belong there and wasn't welcome. Well, one thing is for sure, we didn't belong there, and won't ever be again.

I love the laminate floors. So much cleaner than carpets! All the appliances and lights worked, unlike what others experienced. The room was clean and the breakfast was nice. Even clementines were available. This is a great place for a stopover when you need a break from the road! (Just watch out for the people travelling to work and using the parking lot as a cut through!)

Stayed here early December. Appears to me the hotel was redone or freshened up not too long ago, based on the paint and most of the lighting being CFL or LED, but it still has carpets. Very large room even with a king bed. There were some small signs of wear and age, the worst being a stain from a leak in the plumbing over the bathroom, nothing really worth complaining about. Stuff gets old, and this isn't the Ritz. Otherwise clean and neat and everything I used in working order. Rooms include coffee maker, iron, alarm clock, flat screen TV, outlets with USB ports for charging phones, etc. Was quiet even though on a busy road. TV selection a little odd (no TCM, but BBC America?) but I made do. Basic breakfast in the lobby with cereal, baked goods, fruit, plus juice and coffee. All kinds of restaurants and retail within a mile or two on the main road. I felt it was very good for what I paid. It also didn't fill up and stayed quiet all night.

Room tip: Parking spots are angled for clockwise driving around the building; it's easier to enter the right side driveway despite markings.

The place is run down and dreary with burnt out lights and old box springs in the breezeway. The rooms are a bit run down and the plumbing sucks but the beds were New and the tv was very good. All in all not a terrible experience but not a positive one either.

Clean beds (I hope - they looked like they were). Spacious room. Everything was in working order. However...old furniture, old carpet, spackle on the walls, mold on the ceiling of the bathroom, dirty looking tub (I suspect "perma-dirt" - like it wasn't gonna come out ever). Musty smelling room. Front desk girl unenthusiastic but kind enough. Breakfast consisted of white/tan things - donuts, bread, bagels, apples, oranges. We skipped and went a mile down the road to the Colonie diner and had a nice breakfast. Definitely got what we paid for but would not return. Getting too old for these sub-par hotels...even just for one night!
