I stayed there after a long drive. Woke up in the morning scratching and when I look down on the bed something crawling and realized it was a bedbug. When I pull the sheet 2 more bedbugs were running. My whole side, my leg and my arm fill with bites
Location is near road (but not noisy) and right next to a 24-hour convenience store. Room was very clean and up to date. There is some cosmetic work that needs to be done to some outside areas but no big deal. Lobby is very nice and new-looking. The breakfast was good (donuts, cereal, bagels, juice, etc.) and was surprisingly still out after 10am when I went in. Would definitely stay again.
Fridge/microwave
The hotel is definitely dated, but comfortable. We stayed due to a very early morning flight (Albany airport is only about 10 minutes away). Our tv didn't work, but someone was there to fix it very quickly when we called. There is definitely a noise issue as the hotel is an "enter from the street" type (isn't that a motel?) and the traffic can be loud.
Limited amenities, but the shower was hot and there was a lot of water pressure. The towels were clean and the beds were comfy. No complaints for a one-night stay!
We were looking for an extended stay for our visit to Albany. We decided to try the Econolodge. Looks can be deceiving. The exterior was a little rough, and the parking lot was a lot rough. The room was large, the bed comfortable, the shower worked with plenty of hot water and it was quiet. Even though the property is located on a very busy road, the noise did not overly invade the room. The help was very good and went about their business quickly and quietly. There was never a shortage of towels, and toiletries. The room had a microwave and a small apartment sized refrigerator, both of which worked well and looked to be fairly new. there was a Continental breakfast each day that was standard fare. Cold cereal donuts and bagels. Nothing fancy, but it got the job done. It is not the Ritz, but we would stay there again as it fit our needs.
This was just a simple one. Not to expect too much from it. The hotel provided all the basic needs in the room and simple breakfast with not much choices. I would suggest to improve their cleanliness in room. Wifi was slow.
