We stayed in a suite, and we can't complain about the suite at all, it was quite nice.
The breakfast was mediocre.
There were some bizarrely stupid omissions that could have only saved them pennies while greatly annoying the customer. For example:
1) There was no bar soap in the room. To use soap you had to go into the shower/toilet area and use the gel from the shower, then go out to the sink and lather up. This they claimed was due to a shortage from their soap supplier. This may be true, but don't they know they can order small soaps from Amazon and get them in a day? Sure, they don't have the corporate logo on them, but would you rather annoy the customer because of that?
2) No lids for the coffee cups. Twice in taking that back to the room it spilled, once due to the elevator closing and hitting my arm, and the other time due to the room door doing the same. For what is being saved, this is just stupid.
3) No pepper supplied at the breakfast, and a single salt shaker for all to use. Again, really stupid for the savings.
For these I would rather pay an extra buck a day than deal with these shortcomings.
