Location was great. Our AC was very loud and weak; it was switching on and off every few minutes through the night so not good for light sleepers.
Restaurant Wellington was ok for breakfast ( dinner was closed after 8pm).Our server was helpful and friendly.

I spent 3 days/2 nights here for work. The hotel is in close proximation to the Capitol, government and courts. I ate breakfast lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant Wellington’s; all decent meals. The hotel otherwise disappoints. This is not a $500 a night hotel. Front desk didn’t recognize my Bonvoy status at check in and when I asked about basics like extended checkout, I was essentially told “check back day you leave based on availability.” No free water anywhere. Room was mediocre and bathroom sliding door for shower and to bathroom itself caused water to go everywhere. The LED lighting scheme felt cheap as did the laminate flooring. Basement gym had mediocre equipment. Had long waits for elevators. In room k cup pods not replenished and no coffee available in lobby until 7 am. Staff at wellingtons was amazing, front desk staff was hit or miss depending on who was attending. I don’t know if there are better options in Albany but not sure I would stay here again unless the experience changes.

For the most part the hotel is nice. We went as a group for the PBR. First our friends wanted to switch their room from a king to a double and they said there was no rooms and there was so they had to book a whole other room! So that is crazy! Then I went to get into bed and my sheets. comfortable and pillow all had blood on them!! So at 1:30 am when I should be going to sleep I had to call the front desk for them to change our sheets. So gross!! Then the next morning I wanted to talk to a manager and she wouldn't even come talk to us! She sent the front desk girl back to tell us simply we gave you free breakfast nothing more we can do! We stay at a lot of hotel both for work and fun and have never been dismissed like that before. So rude and unprofessional!! I will probably not stay there again!

The hotel was roomy and clean, and had a comfy bed, just a couple of thing spoiled the stay, although when I say spoil, this is not in a big way, just a bit of adjustment. The first worry was that the coffee machine ( and a nice machine it was) was located in the short hallway, but the light in this section of the room was a blue light, and insufficient to operate the coffee machine, we got over this by moving the coffee machine onto the desk area.
The second problem was the sliding door on the bathroom, this did not cover the area and even though we are a married couple the view of ones partner on the throne is not desired.
