We have stayed here for a few years in September.....but Covid changed everything! Still the hotel was safe, clean and as inviting as possible given all the restrictions. Our first assigned room had a microwave oven that did not work.....but Seeranie at the front desk quickly found us another room! She was professional, friendly and very helpful. We plan to return next year!
The rooms are very well laid out and equipped to make one's stay comfortable. Besides the bed, there is a comfortable couch, table that is versatile, a well equipped kitchen, full refrigerator. The room is clean, as is the whole hotel.
The front desk staff was rude other than one nice women at night name I think dawn who went out of her way always. Thank you dawn which is the only reason I have given 1 star, how ever the GM I was having a discussion with she told me to be quite and then just continued to talk over me I didn't even get to say a word and then she walked away. I dont know where this Indian women was raised but she is horrible.
Hotel setup is nice and convenient to highway/airport, however we found it to be less than ideal in terms of cleanliness. We arrived to find that everyone was wearing masks which we were happy to see. Our room also had a “clean seal” on it stating they had used Lysol products (another good sign). Unfortunately that’s where it ended. We immediately found a rather large hair ball (tumbleweed) under the desk, crumbs in the kitchenette area floor, but the most disturbing thing was the pull out couch where we found not only that it wasn’t made up even though we stated we had a family of four but also someone’s used mask and hair all over the mattress cover.
I went down to the front desk to let them know the room would need extra attention after our stay and they graciously offered to change our room, but since we were only staying one night and leaving early in the morning we just crammed in one bed.
Staff was friendly and helpful and the customer service was great, I just wish we had had a cleaner room, especially during a pandemic when we were already on edge traveling.
I did appreciate that the pool was limited to one family at a time and you could sign up for a time slot ahead of time. My kids thoroughly enjoyed having the pool to themselves.
I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights back in March and had a really great stay! I was able to check in online before arriving, so when I got to the hotel the front desk staff already had my key waiting for me. This was my first time checking in online and I was delighted by the process - I was able to choose my room and what floor I wanted to stay on as well. My room itself was beautiful - it felt like my own mini apartment. The staff was really great throughout my stay, giving me restaurant recommendations since the person I was with wanted to eat at a steakhouse (there's a great one 5 mins away!). There is a huge mall nearby as well! Dropped off my friend at the airport early Monday morning (a quick 5 minute drive to ALB) and was on my way back to the Midwest. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Albany, thank you for a truly wonderful stay!
