This is a very nice, recently renovated hotel. The pool and hot tub were both in good working order and neither too hot not too cold. We sat in very comfortable chairs around the gas fire pit which was very relaxing.
There was a large screen TV in both rooms of the suite. We don't always watch TV but did find an old rerun movie to watch while getting ready for bed. The beds were very comfortable with a soft mattress topper.
The breakfast was very good, but the waffles were sticking to the waffle makers. I don't eat waffles but do make them for my now adult children. There was both pork and turkey sausage and a choice between regular and cheesy scrambled eggs. In general. plenty of healthy choices for breakfast.
The hotel website advertises breakfast opens at 6:00 AM but we found out that on weekends, breakfast opens at 7:00 AM. For us personally, this was somewhat inconvenient. We stayed the weekend of the Capital District Scottish Games and a 7 AM breakfast start means rushing to get packed before breakfast and through breakfast to get the fairgrounds to set up in advance of the gates opening to the general public at 8 AM which you must do if you are a participant in the festivities.
We did end up getting on the field, set up and ready to compete by 8:45 AM
