The room was clean and well appropriated. Bed was comfy. Staff was nice and very good. Breakfast was a very good meal to start off the day. I hated the valet parking but for the most part was pretty easy in and out - they always wanted to know if I was in for the night. Good walk to the capital.
A two-night stay in a quiet, clean, comfortable room.
Easy walking distance to restaurants, the Hudson River, the Capitol, the Palace Theatre, among other locations.
Breakfast area was clean and food was good.
Has two on-site restaurants. Went to the more casual of the two; that experience will be in a separate review.
Only issues:
---elevator waits: one was out of order both days. Not an issue most of the time, but around breakfast there was a bit of waiting. Stayed on a higher floor, so stairs were mostly not an option for us.
---parking valet could have used some help. We needed our car after night one at about the same time as everyone else. Kind of a free-for-all as they just handed out keys and we had to retrieve our cars from the lot. More of a typical valet experience the following day when we left, though.
Would stay here again.
I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites while in Albany NY, for a competition. I was quite skeptical before arriving because I am quite picky about the cleanliness and smell of a hotel.
Anyway, not only was my room immaculate, and free of foul odors, but the set up of the room was quite nice and simply stated. Casey was the manager and she and her staff were on top of it! They made sure my needs were met and never hesitated to let me know that if I needed anything, they would be more than happy to help. I really can't say enough good things about this hotel and the staff (to include the valet parking team!). I would definitely stay there again!
The hotel is really superbly located. Casey welcomed us warmly, gave us good advices on what to see and even made a call for the Hudson River cruise, as we were too tight for time. Thanks to her, we didn't miss it.
The morning breakfasts are really out of the ordinary, I've never seen a hotel with so much choice and what's more, it was excellent! We had a very pleasant stay!

While visiting this hotel, the entire hotel went in the dark, it was very hot and everyone was angry. The staff I feel did a a good job, but the MVP was Casey, she went above and beyond to tend to everyone's needs, and all the while keeping a smile on her face, she made a terrible situation bearable. Thank you Casey for all you did during that horrible time.
