Second time staying here. Very clean hotel, comfortable bed, new hotel. Friendly staff. Not too much space, no closet or space to stash your clothes. No big deal do us, we stayed only 1 night. Would definitely return. Give them a try whenever I’m the area.
The Tru by Hilton Albany Airport delivers everything you need and expect from this Hilton hotel brand. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and convenient to the Albany Airport. The staff was friendly, efficient and the 24-hour shuttle service is a quick way to and from the airport. Breakfast was well-stocked and consistent with what you would expect from this brand. The fitness center was well-maintained and available 24/7.
There are not many eating places near the hotel but the hotel will take you to places in the local area and, of course, delivery is an option. And, if you are up for a 40 minute walk in a quiet area, you can go to an interesting set of eateries in Galleria 7.
Over the years, I have stayed at all the Hilton properties in the Albany Airport area and the Tru by Hilton has become my favorite because it is new, modern and clean. Not as many honors points (5 per USD vs 10 per USD) as at other properties; but that is a small price to pay for a solid stay.
Our second visit here and just as great as first. Spotless, friendly staff, nice breakfast. Refillable water station. 24 hour coffee and tea station in lobby. Beds were comfortable.lots of pillows. Many hooks to hang necessities. Small refrig. Shower great! Lots of towels. Room was quiet. The toiletries were amazing!! I was obsessed with them! I want to buy some! The smell instantly put me in a good mood!! Thank you to the sweet person at reception who spent time looking on line for me to see if I could buy them! Then surprised me with a travel size!! Incredible customer service. But found every worker there to be friendly!
We will stay here when visiting family in Albany. Highly recommend it!
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with a family member. The rooms were very clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was secluded and convenient. The only downside was that the rooms were fairly small (which we were prepared for) and there was only 1 bathroom mirror and 1 entry mirror, so if you have more than 2 people in a room, be prepared for a tight space.
The only drawback was no coffee in the room though it is available 24/7 in the lobby. Also, if two adults were staying in the same room, it's a little small with no dresser and very limited hanging space. It was perfect for one. Just 1/2 mile from the airport and free shuttle offered.
