Individual female traveling home to New York. At the last moment I found out everyone in the household I was to stay at, tested positive for CV. At the last minute I needed somewhere to stay after traveling for 12 hrs. I was worried, stressed and tired and hungry and needed a hotel to stay at overnight that was close to my family. I found Tru by Hilton on a 3rd party booking site. When I arrived I was immediately at ease and intrigued.
The 3rd party channel listed the hotel as "Basic" which was all I needed for the night just to rest before hitting the road back home the next day.
When I arrived there was nothing "Basic" about the hotel. The bright colors, welcoming exterior and really friendly front desk agents changed my entire mood! There were snacks, drinks and coffee readily available as soon as you arrived as well as plenty of hand sanitizing stations and covid safety postings.
I had a second floor room, everything was very clean and the tv was huge! 60" The bed and pillows were so comfortable. I napped and rested and took advantage of the tv which I don't watch at home. Plenty of lighting, storage options, mini fridge, ironing board, desk area, seating area.
Bathroom: The shower was great. All of the soaps and shampoos smelled amazing. Recycling options.
Amenities: You could sign out the pool to yourself, wish I brought my bathing suit! Breakfast was well rounded. Free from 6-9 I believe. Gym was clean. Shuttle Service. Late check out was granted. Staff members were really friendly and cleaning always, no matter what position. Coffee always fresh!
Overall: I was tempted to stay another night just to enjoy the hotel and more of the amenities. I plan to stay there again when I go home each month instead of staying with family!
I can't say enough good things and honestly can't wait to go back.
