I spent one night here on a redemption reward. I checked in using the Bonvoy app with a mobile key. I never received a notification to use the key and could not access the elevator (or the room obviously) so had to wait in a long line at the front desk. The clerk told me that you can only use the mobile app if you have stayed at that location before. This makes no sense to me. If I'm not "eligible" to use a mobile key, don't give me the option and waste my time. After receiving physical keys, I was told I could get a bottle of water from the shop next to the front desk. The shop was out of water so again, the front desk told me to try again later. At this point, I'm not happy with the service. Later when it was time to check out, I always drop my keys with the front desk and a different clerk literally said "whatever" to me when I told her I was checking out!
As for the room itself, there were cleanliness issues. The packets for coffee supplies were covered in drops of perhaps vegetable oil? I discovered this when trying to get a paper napkin out. So, I checked out the rest of the kitchen supplies. In the cabinet, there was a wine glass simply covered in powdery, caked on stuff. The cutlery had the same on it. I'm assuming the dishwasher isn't working properly. The bathroom and the rest of the room seemed ok but it was impossible to adjust the HVAC for a comfortable temperature. The bed was fine and so was the water pressure. The room was quiet.
I had originally planned to spend two nights here but I'm glad I stuck with one.
