We were a bit disappointed with our room. We stayed in a suite. Which is a separate building. The carpet was filthy, leftover food. The outside of fridge was also nasty. The bathroom and sheets were clean. Stains on comforter with cigarette burns. The gentleman who checked us in was very nice. We tried to use the hot tub and it was luke warm. Which was disappointing. In the morning we talked to the front desk person about hot tub, he said we need to turn the dial all the way up it takes a while to heat up. I said a sign on the wall would have helped! He said I should have called. I do not think he understood that a sign should be on the wall explaining how to use it if it’s complicated. I did turn the dial some and it did nothing after 10 minutes. In addition I let him know the bathroom outlet and outlet near window did not work in our room. He said he could have switched our room had I let him
Know. We did not want to switch rooms after a long drive, just wanted him to be aware for future guests. Breakfast was okay, the man that was working the area was friendly and seemed to try as did the front desk staff. Also it would be helpful to have more then 3 towels in a suite! Yes I could have walked in the cold across a parking lot to get more what a hassle, but it seems a suite should have at least 4 bath towels. We are Wyndham rewards members and wish they would work to improve the standards.

We arrived late at the hotel, we booked ( by mistake) a smoking room. The staff at the front desk looked at us and asked why we booked a smoking room, we look like people who don’t smoke. We just realized that we made a mistake and I was glad that he gave us a heads up. Then he said , no worries and we can help you get another non-smoking room in the suite building. We were so grateful for this kind and personable arrangement and I would be happy to return there when we visit Albany again :)
