Great stay. Clean, comfortable, and good staff. I traveled for leisure with my partner we and we’re both comfortable during our visit. No complaints at all. Easily accessible room with all of the accommodations we needed.

Review of Hilton Garden Inn Albany Airport

Room 428.
Walked into a strong odor of musty, stale air. HVAC unit and carpets most likely haven't been deep cleaned in years. Window is screwed closed so no opportunity to get fresh air. Colleague staying on 5th floor noted the same musty, stale air in his room.
Tub & shower wall grout dark with mold & mildew stains.
Electrical outlet cover missing - on wall by sofa. Any child could have touched live wires if parents didn't see missing cover. Took pic and showed to front desk. Why hadn't housekeeping reported and get repaired?
Floor lamp that would be plugged into this outlet also missing, making room dark & dingy.
Entire hotel in need of a refresh. One gets the impression the absolute minimum is spent on maintenance and upkeep. Carpets well worn throughout. Brass era elevators with call button in lobby upside down.
Hotel illuminated sign not visible from road. Overgrown trees surrounding have not been trimmed in years.
I realize that all businesses are challenged with staffing issues. The items reported on here are the result of the age of the property and the overall lack of care.
There's many Hilton hotels to choose from in the Capital region. No reason to return here and would recommend other travelers seek newer properties.

I only stayed one night prior to dropping my boyfriend off at the airport, but it was very comfortable and the room was obviously thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. The room was also extremely spacious and the pricing was not bad at all considering it was a 5 minute drive to the airport.

Mary at the front desk was so welcoming after we had a long day of travel. Was nice to see that!
The hotel was so incredibly clean! Spotless! Loved how they have a sticker seal on the rooms to insure no one had gone in after it was cleaned.

The only saving grace was the super friendly front desk staff. My first room had 3D yellow stains in the bathtub. I requested another room and the front desk staff gave me one but did not apologize, seemed a little annoyed, I apologized profusely instead and felt awkward. My second room had small red stains on the towels, dirt on one of the beds and hair in the sheets of that bed. The other bed was ok so I slept there but knew I had to go early. I ended up at the nearby Tru for the remainder of my trip. The room looks dated but I would’ve been A-ok with that if it were clean, the most basic requirement!

The Hotel was at a quiet place. Beautiful lobby. Courteous staff. The room was clean. No noise on hallway. Staff was responsive, even though understaffed. We needed pillows and comforters and we got it promptly. Water bottles were free and as was coffee.
