A spacious, nicely furnished, and very well-preserved Dutch-Indonesian style house with an an amazing balcony and yard overlooking several mountains, including the famous "upside down boat." The house and yard is also surrounded directly by fields of vegetables, giving it an even more spacious, relaxing feel, keeping the noise-level low, and adding to the view.
The owners were very nice and accommodating, and provided a car with driver when we needed it for a reasonable rate, which made things much easier. The area is about 20-25 min from Bandung in light to medium traffic, but has lots of interesting things to see in itself (including an old Dutch fort in the woods at the end of a spectacular 3km hike on a mountainside – ask the owners for directions as it;s not easy to find), and we ended up spending most of our time there, in Lembang. The restaurants in town were quite good (again, ask the owners for recommendations), and we also cooked at the villa several nights, after shopping for meat, vegetables, and fruit in the local markets. Very highly recommended for a weekend or week-long getaway. We were there 5 days.
