I have been coming to Verona Spa for years. There are many massage/spa shops in Ubud but as far as I am concerned, this is the best deal for your money. It may not be the cheapest but it is more than reasonable especially what one experiences along with the treatment. It is in a quiet place at the end of a lane off Monkey Forest Road. There are individual rooms which look out on peaceful rice fields. Often rows of ducks parade along the dikes of the rice fields. There is peaceful music. The rooms are clean and quiet. The staff is friendly, well trained, helpful, polite. Each year I bring friends to this spa and everyone who has gone has been more than happy. Once there was no appointment available due to my friends spontaneously arriving so they went to another place. They told me what a difference it was for them since they had already gone to Verona before that. So I am one of many who enjoy this spa year after year.
2weeks in Bali and the two massages we had in our 3 days in Ubud were the best! Lovely girls, such peaceful surroundings looking out at a rice field and big room, shower after, just beautiful....then lovely fresh fruit and ginger tea. Couldn't ask for more.
My first massage in Ubud, overlooking the rice paddies. The massage itself is soothing, great pressure, and relaxing. There's an indoor shower and bathtub if you want a cream bath. Price is average.
We chose this place because it was right next door to our hotel and seemed nice enough for an “off the street” type spa. The staff are not unfriendly but a little indifferent. The rooms are nice enough and there is a large open window that looks out onto the rice field next door. Unfortunately, during our massage we heard someone shoveling away in the field right beside the window and when we stood up after our massage, obviously with only a towel on, we saw the man in the field have some peeks in at us – the bath is situated right in front of the open window and the shower is situated right next to the same open wall structure where people in the field can still clearly see in, so there is no chance of moving out of sight with the towel on in order to shower or get dressed, the whole room is essentially visible, it was not comfortable. The massage itself was a little halfhearted and the oils were thick and caused me to break out in terrible hives. The staff do not wash your feet or wash their hands after touching your feet, before they touch your face - as many other places do and should. As most spa treatments go, we were given fruit and ginger tea (one of the worst ones we had, I don’t know why it was black). I definitely wouldn’t recommend this spa, we have had much better experiences for the same value.
My friend and I booked a spa package at Verona Spa. All the treatments (massage, body scrub, facial and hair mask) were great and the staff is very friendly. The price we paid was more than okay!
We can recommend Verona Spa.
I went there a couple oggi weeks ago with a group of friends.
Staff is friendly massage is really relaxing and the room was an open one with an outdoor/indooor shower.
When I had my massage done it was raining outside so the atmosphere was magic!
