“Decent place”
Review of Amboli

Reviewed 6 August 2018 via mobile

One of the favourite hangout place of Kolhapur & Belgaum people. It is the maximum raining place in Maharashtra. Has many places to visit. It will take an entire day to cover all the spots. Be aware of Drinkers, also roads in Maharashtra are tragedy.

This is the only hill station of Konkan having rich heritage of mountains, greenery, waterfalls and colder atmosphere. The hotels offers good stay options at economical rates. Must visit during rainy season.

Super nice place in Maharashtra state to see. Hill station is full of mountain, greenry, tons of waterfalls, diff types of trees, only go green. I visited to amboli in 2013 with my family and friends in mid August, super cool weather, everywhere foggy, small roads, full of waterfalls, hilly areas, small and big mountains, no sun. Awesome wheather, coolness, fresh air, not much crowds and noise, pleasant place to see. Mostly in rainy season and in winter so cool. Amboli water fall is very famous in Maharashtra. I recommend this trip to everyone, should go and have fun with family and friend's.

One of the Memorable trip of mine with my loving caring Hubby :*

Best to visit during Monsoon & winter. One life enjoy

Amboli a place nestled between the borders of Maharashtra and Goa, if you are travelling by road from Mumbai to Goa of the three choices you get to enter Goa, the road via Pune, Kholhapur, Nipani, Amboli , Sawantwadi and finally Goa is the fastest and quite a scenic route,

The valley views that you can admire at various turns and points from the long and winding Ghat road from Amboli to Sawantwadi being the icing on the cake, specially in the rains, you come from an altitude where you feel you are in the midst of a cloud and after an hours drive you have reached the sea level.

The ghat road specifically has so many waterfalls, big or small you name it has plenty to offer to an excited traveler. If you are travelling to Amboli ghat around dusk or dawn , either ways you get to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset across the valley.

The best time to travel is during the monsoon, the roads are pretty good and well maintained, it would be advisable to check if the road is not blocked at times due to landslide or insistent rains.

There are roadside restaurants on top of the Ghat, at certain points and at Amboli village that offer food and refreshments.
