The restaurant on Calle 18 is closed. Only the restaurant on Calle 14 inside hostal Masaya still is active. Beware the restaurant is on the top floor with just fans, no air-conditioning. It is very hot. Also the menu is reduced and doesn't have the options like before.

The seafood stew served on a small pot and the coconut rice was a rewarding meal.
I also peeked in the kitchen to see the canoe, very clever idea.

I go there a few times a week to get fresh French baguettes that are out of this world perfect! I bicycle there and bring them home for lunch. I told them that if I got fat, it would be their fault!

Service was pleasant. The fish and veggies were fresh and simply but nicely prepared. The mashed potatoes creamy but so salty they were inedible. I mentioned the salt but nothing was done about it.
