The location of this beautiful Beaux Arts building can't be beat, but that is really the only positive thing I can say for this hotel. The pricing was expensive (almost $500/ night) and the value abysmal. We had to wait in line for 15 minutes to just check in.
There was a surprise $25 resort fee added when we checked in and we asked if it included beach access (no, that was an addition $6/ person) or parking (no that was an additonal $75-100 per NIGHT, depending on the size of the car) -- we inquired what the resort fee did cover: 2 small bottles of water and access to a small hotel pool. On the first day, we returned to our room at 6 pm, and it had not been cleaned. We noticed that the placard to hang on our door ONLY had "do not disturb" on both sides (vs. "clean our room" on one side). When I called down to ask if we could have our room cleaned, we were asked to "hold" and then got disconnected - twice. We will never stay here again, sadly.
