The Hotel was mostly pleasant and maintained though you could see it has been around for a while. They, like many hotels, have a daily resort fee and parking is $50 per day.
The hallways to the rooms were dimly lit with tiny spotlights, like in some sci-fi movie. Coupled with the choice of dark brown, black, and gold for carpeting didn’t convey a friendly fun atmosphere.
They have an on prem restaurant which we decided to give a try. It’s an Italian themed venue. The waitress was very good, and the tomato sauce /gravy was fantastic! But they did not have their S#7t together.
We ordered 2 glasses of a “House” cabernet that took 25 minutes to arrive at the table. 25 mins?? The waitress explained they were out of that and had to run out to the store and purchase some. Again… huh??
After the appetizers we waited another 35 min for our simple order or chicken parmesan. We were told that they forgot to put our order into the kitchen. The chicken was burnt, and they also had used very thin cut cutlets which had turned to leather. Now we were told they had a new chef who was not up to speed. Again… Huh??
When we got check(s) we were present with a separate one from the bar for the wine. $14 per glass for “House” cab. The bill said it was Josh Cellars Reserve. “House cab”??
So Hotel is OK, …. The restaurant…. Not at all.
