Undoubtedly it is the largest square of the world. Also known as the sea of stars. Overlooking the yellow sea on one side and the beautiful skyscrappers of Dalian on the other, it is an iconic square in itself. There are many statues which are fixed on the square. Some of them are related to the centenary celebrations. Others are just beautiful and picture perfect. A must go place in Dalian.

Yeah, I actually walked here from my hotel near the east end of Binhai Road (the sign said 3.4 km, but I think that's in a straight line; I'm sure I walked farther than that with all the winding sidewalks and the detours to a beach and the Xinghai Bay bridge). Lots to do here if you like amusement parks, but there's also beach access, a great coffee shop, and other things to do.

There is so much to do here and many scenic photographic opportunities. Everything for the family and kids or a romantic date. Good restaurants, museum, fair and carnival rides, pedal boat rentals....

This is a very busy area during the summer. On the other hand, there aren't half as many boisterous drunks as you'd get on a beach in England. You also get to go on a ride in the fair if that's your cup of tea. The views of the ocean are quite impressive!
