I spent a 10 days holiday with my family of 5 members, we were received by very warm welcome by hotel staff. Christina looked after us very well and make arrangements for all my requirements. The room, facilities and food are extraordinary rather from other hotels. And as a globalist of the Hyatt group, have to said this hotel is one of the best stay every amount all the Park Hyatt in the world. I firmly think in the near future I will spend another trip here.

Thanks Christina and all the staff for such a nice holiday for my family.

This Park Hyatt captures everything exciting, distinctive and luxurious about the Park Hyatt brand. Anyone inspired by thoughtful architectural design will struggle between spending time admiring the interior of the property with its majestic grand hallways, tranquil library, and comfortable sitting areas, and the gorgeous outdoor gardens, walkways, reflection ponds and swimming pools. And of course there is Sunny Bay itself.

Ask for Ira at either the Terrace or the Pool House, and she’ll point out great dishes and answer any questions about the location.

First I’ll say the pro
The room is great with great amenities, Bose sound system coffee machine well refilled, turned down service, very long swimming pool, great service from the hotel staff, nice birthday surprise as we expected, good gym mostly empty, free happy hour wine glass, super design, feeling of privacy, very good breakfast, BUT beware of a very strange situation a the beach. We tried to walk on the whole, stretch of beach as it is public in China but a very angry looking security guard wearing white uniform , saying he supposedly works at the hotel blocked us going further. He mentioned several people died at the beach.!!! . We asked staff at the beach they said they don’t know why it is blocked. Then we see dozens of tourist boats coming to that so called forbidden part. So I believe there is an underground type situation at this beach, and it doesn’t make me feel safe at all. Especially considering the staff explanation, or lack thereof. Hopefully they can explain clearly what is going on, as safety of guests is impacted.

So this review comes right after a stay at the Edition Sanya... and we were blown away and so happy!

What a fantastic property with very competent staff!
MUST mention:

Pool house Restuarant: this is the western restaurant on site helmed by **head chef Mike** (I think, sorry If I’m wrong) who gave us recommendations for our dinner! Really delicious with a very nice selection of wine. We ended up finishing a bottle very quickly! Big thank you to **Hank Fang **our server who introduced their wines and served us throughout the evening!

Service was fantastic at the restaurant. Even understaffed with multiple events they made sure to check up on us and paced our dishes.

Our checkin experience was meh(understaffed... a bit of a wait.. no rooms ready after arriving at 3, waiting to checkin around 3:30 and finally getting to our room around 4:15- checked in but room wasn’t ready until 4) but understandable as there are multiple large group events, BMW littering their cars everywhere was a bit of bummer (sry just not into cars blocking beautiful ocean views) and Pingan Insurance... so understandable ..

The beach has very few guests with a great area to swim in as well as kayaks and Stand up paddle boards and there’s a small water volleyball pool area next to the kids mini water park - very few kids in sight compared to the beautiful pool... that we didn’t even go in! (Too many people).

The hotel itself is a bit of a maze but we didn’t mind as we meandered around and explored a little bit. Still very family friendly with Camp Hyatt for kids. What a resort should be.. a beautiful getaway.

All of our room service requests were promptly filled. Less than 5 min for said item or server to come to the door and help with our requests. Yes I sound a bit high maintanence but after staying at multiple properties (Aman hotels, Alila, and a lot of the Shanghai hotels from bvlgari to the W and peninsula.. peace hotel etc etc ) there starts to be expectations and experiences. When you book a nice hotel it’s the experience you’re looking for, and hotels are fulfilling almost a dream knowing that their in house guests want to come to enjoy, relax, savor, and finish a beautiful stay before leaving... (at least couples like hubby and me) hah.

Anyway... just want to thank Park Hyatt, this experience really made our weekend as it far surpassed our stay at the Edition.

Stayed at the Park Hyatt Sanya for a weekend this June. Definitely a resort that Hyatt has done a great job in both designing and managing it. The architecture is modern art museum inspired by those art galleries you visit in Europe. I’ve the opportunity to look around the whole hotel (raining outside) and it is so avant-garde. Art pieces are everywhere both in public area and restaurants. The best part is the 130m lap pool with a white vinyl bottom that makes it so irresistible for a swim. 50 meters away is the beach front that is a private cove by itself. If you love white sandy beach and crystal clear of Phuket or Bali, this is the place!
Staff at the resort are just as attentive - I came back from the pool dripping wet with the hotel bath robe on and the maid who was cleaning the room next door saw me and immediately asked if I needed a new robe since mine is already wet. WOW, what great initiative.
Certainly will recommend to those seeking a luxury getaway with your loved ones.

Room tip: Corner suite has a wide panoramic view of the pool
