So this review comes right after a stay at the Edition Sanya... and we were blown away and so happy!
What a fantastic property with very competent staff!
MUST mention:
Pool house Restuarant: this is the western restaurant on site helmed by **head chef Mike** (I think, sorry If I’m wrong) who gave us recommendations for our dinner! Really delicious with a very nice selection of wine. We ended up finishing a bottle very quickly! Big thank you to **Hank Fang **our server who introduced their wines and served us throughout the evening!
Service was fantastic at the restaurant. Even understaffed with multiple events they made sure to check up on us and paced our dishes.
Our checkin experience was meh(understaffed... a bit of a wait.. no rooms ready after arriving at 3, waiting to checkin around 3:30 and finally getting to our room around 4:15- checked in but room wasn’t ready until 4) but understandable as there are multiple large group events, BMW littering their cars everywhere was a bit of bummer (sry just not into cars blocking beautiful ocean views) and Pingan Insurance... so understandable ..
The beach has very few guests with a great area to swim in as well as kayaks and Stand up paddle boards and there’s a small water volleyball pool area next to the kids mini water park - very few kids in sight compared to the beautiful pool... that we didn’t even go in! (Too many people).
The hotel itself is a bit of a maze but we didn’t mind as we meandered around and explored a little bit. Still very family friendly with Camp Hyatt for kids. What a resort should be.. a beautiful getaway.
All of our room service requests were promptly filled. Less than 5 min for said item or server to come to the door and help with our requests. Yes I sound a bit high maintanence but after staying at multiple properties (Aman hotels, Alila, and a lot of the Shanghai hotels from bvlgari to the W and peninsula.. peace hotel etc etc ) there starts to be expectations and experiences. When you book a nice hotel it’s the experience you’re looking for, and hotels are fulfilling almost a dream knowing that their in house guests want to come to enjoy, relax, savor, and finish a beautiful stay before leaving... (at least couples like hubby and me) hah.
Anyway... just want to thank Park Hyatt, this experience really made our weekend as it far surpassed our stay at the Edition.
