We visited this resort after seeing numerous good reviews and wanted to give them a try. We were told by the taxi driver that Sunny Bay is currently the "in place" for Sanya, as this is where the most exclusive villas are currently situated. The drive up is quite gorgeous and helps build up the anticipation. We were very warmly welcomed for our check in by Christina Mao, Front Office Manager, she knew we were celebrating a special ocassion, and really bent over backwards to make us feel special & welcomed, with an upgraded room and even had the staff decorate our room and notified the Pool House to decorate our table where we proceeded to have an excellent meal with Hank Fang, assistant manager of Pool House attending to us.
We have stayed at different resorts in Sanya, and the Park Hyatt has a different feel to it, perhaps it is because the location feels more secluded, you did not feel crowded in by the tourists. . . you could walk around and admire the architecture of the hotel, where even the hallway can be a photo op. I believe this hotel is definitely ideally suited for couples looking for a romantic getaway.
We enjoyed our stay at the Park Hyatt, and enjoyed meeting Christina, Hank and Cindy Chen, who was very helpful showing us around, answering our questions and securing our dinner reservations.
