Room size is fine, but the room is not very clean. Breakfast is poor.

The resort is big... total seven hotels in the same place? There is a water park in the middle surrounded by these hotels. A few restaurants inside the resort with reasonable price.

There is no access to the beach from the resort in Sanya Bay unless you take the hotel's shuttle bus to another Mangrove Tree Resort in Yalong Bay.

This spacious, well-designed hotel complex has a lot going for it but suffers from lack of attention to detail. The Amazon theme park seems incongruous, situated in the city and in China, and does not resemble the Amazon. However, the facilities, including many restaurants, were generally quite good. Breakfast in the King Palm restaurant provided a good variety of foods but many items rapidly ran out and it became crowded after about 8:15 am so arrival at opening time (7 am) is advisable. The conference rooms we used were quite close to a restaurant with music playing, which was intrusive. Problems such as lack of toilet paper, a broken light switch and a loose seat in the toilets, and inability to provide several items on the menus in one of the bars created a bad impression. However, staff were always polite and keen to help.

My family (3 audits 1 kid in 6 yrs old) was living this hotel from 28 Dec 2016 to 1 Jan 2017.

-We were very disappointed in overall hotel servicing especially for housekeeping service (sofa in the living room with insect hidden inside the sofa) and the language skill of the front desk staff. Only one or two can speak Cantonese or a bit English.

- The save box is broken and we needed to wait for the repairing service for 2 days.

-Actually, this hotel is a very local hotel and most people are rushing for breakfast, no queue up and bought their own bottle to fill up orange/mango juice... terrible!

-Hotel with only a small outdoor swimming pool.

-For the water park, it is chargeable (over a hundred per head) even you are the hotel guest.

What they should improve that hotel should reference Centara Hotel group that they have several outdoor swimming pool with slides and floating river which are free for hotel guests.

- The worth to say is the hotel has a 7x24 food street for offering you different kinds of foods for eat and the price is reasonable.

In conclusion: my family will not come to the hotel again.

A huge resort. Rooms are very spacious. A multitude of restaurants and ever helpful staff. If you are non-Chinese looking you will stand out which has some perks from the staff. They will remember you better. Definitely recommended if you want to spend a few days to a week with your family and you are not interested in going out anywhere. This is the perfect place to spend your entire vacation without venturing out from the resort. It has every thing you may need. Shopping mall, cinema, restaurants, entertainment bookstore etc.

It is a huge complex, in height and width, many wings with their own name and reception and 25-30 floors each. It is a combination of exhibition center and swimmingpool -resort, which i find a difficult combination. it is nowhere close to a beach. Difficult to say which wing is best, it depends on your needs.
I was far away from breakfast area which is really huge in size and also common for all wings. This makes breakfast area really crowdy, noisy and dirty (floor gets easily lots of waste from kids and non caring families).
I would prefer to stay close to the breakfast area, you can be lost otherwise. It is not a type of resort you use to know.
Room was clean and spacy but nothing special (it looked ready to host extra beds for kids) with a small fridge (2 bottles of water), no mini bar.
Disappointing with no restaurants that are open for such a large property. Need to take taxi for outside dining and other activities, going to beach included!
Staff, except for reception and hotel manager, is difficult to communicate in english.
I got great help from hotel manager who solved many problems for me.

Room tip: Huge crowdy complex, difficult to say which wing is best. Choose high & close to breakfast area

I stayed a few nights midweek in this great resort complex. Out of season (mid-June) not everything was open and it was quiet with few people, mostly families and people in the conference center.
Good choice of food outlets, but difficult to find a 'bar' in the widest sense of the word. Yes, you can get German Beer (and you pay top prices) but if your friends want a cocktail, the best you can do is sent them to the Mexican restaurant for it is there that the bottles of spirits hang out. I'm used to having food joints everywhere you look - and spot-on pool service. Here, you have to go traipsing round looking for them, as the food doesn't come to you. Not quite what I'd want for a holiday.
Having said that, I had a room in B block (Kapok) on the 21st floor. Good sized room with a bathroom with large shower and a bath at the edge of the floor. Quite a position to have a bath - right on the edge! Amorous couples might want to use the blinds as the huge window, while affording a great view of the city and out to sea, gives viewers an eyefull....!
The waterpark was not fully functional as the wavepool was being fixed. A group of 6 of us had it pretty much to ourselves. Crazy system of having to pay cash for items such as the lazy river tubes once in the park. Where do you keep the cash, in your budgie-smugglers? The Cobra ride is the best of the lot. The final drop into the Cobra's hood feels vertical and first time round is exciting.
My advice is to get the free shuttle bus to their Yalong Bay resort (free but book 24 hours in advance) where you'll be on the beach and have more 'western' food options, including cocktails.

Room tip: Higher floors are, obviously, quieter. Search around for the best swimming pools - there are many!!
