After three months of lockdown in Shanghai, we wanted to escape the city for a week. As a young family with a four-year old and five-month old, we wanted fun, easy and relaxing. Atlantis did not disappoint.

It was easy to keep our daughters entertained and I would highly recommend the wave pool, c show, mermaid photos and the quiet & shady pool next to the beach.

Restaurant wise, Gordon Ramsey and Crab were the highlights and both very welcoming of families.

Finally, for an easier ride go for the Imperial club which offers a quieter breakfast experience and free flow from 5-7pm. For a day by the pool, it’s worth spending the 200-300 RMB to rent a Cabana. Also, you can get by without speaking Chinese, but it definitely helps to speed things up. As we stayed longer, we were assigned Louise (an English speaker) who was super helpful in helping us to book experiences, restaurants and offering suggestions.

This was our second stay at the resort and it lived up to all our expectations once again! For such a large property, service standards were extremely high and there was always someone to help us out. We spent a couple of days at the water park - always a joy! Word of advice - go as soon as the park opens and do all the popular rides first, as they do get busy!

We also checked out the C Theatre Show - a true spectacle with lots to do and plenty of excitement for the kids. Our Dolphin snorkeling experience was one we will not forget - a must do for families. The Lost Chambers is very well maintained, and we enjoyed a good few hours in the aquarium.

Noteworthy of course are the restaurants - we dined at Netsu (delicious Japanese!), Crab Kitchen for its most amazing asian fare that took us back home, and also Break Street Kitchen and the Food Court. Excellent food choices for all the family.

To call this resort just a hotel would not do it justice, as Atlantis is an adventure all rolled into one. We can't wait to come back and we highly recommend it to all families looking for an amazing family vacation!

One of the worst family hotels I stayed at, though the facility is quite new.

1, there is no lounge... it is another catering service ran on two different floors of the hotel... long lines to get in, people don’t leave after finish... it is a nightmare!
2, for one thousand dollar night, you’d expect comfortable slippers... we got well worn lastic pairs...
3, everywhere lines are very long... this is expected of CNY, but better service during this time of year?
4, the whole hotel does not have a ice bucket that can hold a bottle of wine...
5, could find a place to hang my coat at the lounge... really...

Honestly... nice hotel... good amusement park... but no food around that is decent in terms of culinirary taste... everything closes...
