The hotel is located in a convenient location in Dadonghai Bay. This is its first and last positive quality. Urgently need repair, the rooms smell of damp and sewage, furniture is old. Cleaning in the rooms every day, but do not qualitatively. In general, look after something else.

old, rusted building, staff horrible, breakfast - nothing to eat, except rice.
i was trying to communicate with the staff on the reception desk and my phone was with me, then i had to go and left the reception just 20 second and come back because i realised i left my phone on the reception desk. when i returned my phone was not there and i asked if they seen my phone and they said NO and suddenly they started to Not speak English hahahaha. i explained and tried to argue for few minutes then a other guest who was standing next to me offered his phone to call my number. and guess what, my phone rang under the reception desk..busted little liars

Easy walking distance to beach, plenty of good resaurants near by. I had a terrible room initially (lots of mold, insect nest, signifiantly rotted skirtings, blinds hanging off their rails). VIrtually no English spoken (even complaints by Russians because of this). My agent complained on my behalf (because of lack of Eglish) and room changed to clean, recently decorated, smaller room. No guidance on how to get around Sanya /Hainan (language in the area). I felt trapped. No usable computer WiFi. Thank goodness for Starbucks over the road despite being told there was no Starbucks in Sanya. Staff willing but not skilled / trained.

This hotel has seen better days, but it does have a jaded charm about it, which gives it character, unlike so many of those concrete, soulless hotels we get nowadays....very handy for the beach, its lovely boulevard and shopping centre....it couldn't be better placed. Enjoyed time in the nice swimming pool, which could do with more sun loungers with cushions
....Forget the 'Western' restaurant, this is a Chinese food only eatery....for a visiting westerner the best place to eat is Pizza Hut across the road, which sums up what’s on offer for someone who doesn't like Chinese food. I would recommend this hotel as it offers good value and is nicely situated.

We had a room on the 8th floor with seaview in September 2011 for 360 yuan per night (excl. 15% servicecharge). The room was spacious and clean, only in the evening some noise could be heard from other guests in the hallway and there is noise from the cars but not too bad. The shower was great and warm, Reception staff friendly but not english speaking. Breakfast staff uninterested and the breakfast was so so. Bt for 48 yuan ok. Beach is 100 mtr across the street and there is a china bank ATM next door and a coffeeworld nearby the beach with good coffee quality/price. Many restaurants nearby. We didn't check the pool. Bed is hard as any bed in hina but fine to sleep on. All restaurants are in chinese/russian but it is not disturbing. All in all a good place to stay for some nights at a reasonable price.

Room tip: Ask to see more rooms as the first one we got to see there was constrution on the same floor.

We booked a seaview suite on June 2011. The room was quite nice, but seaview means also direct view on the main road, a very noisy road...

Besides, the staff has a very bad english level (in fact, no english speaking, but russian speaking !). It is not acceptable for a 4 stars hotel.

We booked this suite on a chinese website (Chinatour.net) that mentionned "no hidden fees" and "breakfast included".
The reality is well different :
- When we arrived to the hotel, they asked us to pay a 4 stars level fees (I do not really understand what it is) : 9 yuan per day and per person.
- The included breakfasts are only chinese one. If you want to access to the western breakfast, you have to pay again 20 yuan per breakfast (per person).

We tried to negociate with the staff to have a western breakfast without added fees, but without success. We threaten to leave the hotel, and they replied us "It does not matter".

So, we are very disappointed of this 4 stars hotel, and we don't recommend it to tourists.
