It is a lovely hotel. We were made to feel welcome by all the staff from the start. We were met at the airport by one of the Hotel staff, Deepool he had a smile and gave us some fresh fruits and drinks. The management and the staff of the hotel set this place apart from other Hotels. I would like to mentioned the receptiton staff, Jack, Deepool, Visal and Tom, they were always smiling and enjoy working at the Hotel. They were always chatting to us and asking if they could help with anything. Excellent breakfast made with fresh food. If you are thinking about going to Siem Reap stay at the Jaya House River Park. Apart from the highest levels in customer service, the Hotel provides free collection and return service to the airport, daily massage, complementary drinks, Tuk Tuk service, laundry. The Hotel also donates to local charities and is part of the campaign to cut plastics. Thank you again hope to return some day.

Room Tip: Higher floors and ask for a room with a bath, also to be facing the larger pool.

This was our second time staying at Jaya House and we were a little worried because our expectations were so high from last year. We needn’t have been concerned because just like the first time, the service was amazing, the staff were delightful and attentive and our experience met, if not exceeded, every expectation.

We’d like to make mention of some people who made our stay that much more special.

Mao - I don’t think we could’ve asked for a nicer person to pick us up from the airport and she always made time to chat with us on our trip and to make sure we were being looked after.

Sarah - she remembered us immediately from last year and took on the role of providing us with Khmer lessons each time we met. She is nothing but delightful.

Phen - thank you for all the room service deliveries and the poolside beers. He was such a nice young man with a great sense of humour and it was wonderful hearing his stories.

Justin - thanks for those extra beers. We’ll be back to swap some more stories next year out in the countryside with you.

Chris - always accommodating and remembered us from last time. Such an attentive staff member.

Sohpea - thank you for organising such a swift and warm welcome for us.

Kol - a wonderful leader of a great team. He always checked that everything was running to plan and even though he was always busy, he always came across the room to talk to us. Thank you.

Can’t rate this hotel or the people enough. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE AT JAYA for making our time there so so special. We can’t wait to be back.

THE SERVICE IS SUPER!!!
When we arrived at our room, 11 pm, the hotel prepared us hot sandwiches and chips and very fresh orange juice FOR FREE. Really a surprise.

Free tuk tuk around the city, free laundry, free massage, free pick up and give away to the airport. I never got so many free services in a hotel.....

Food in the hotel is really nice and the Cambodian cooking lesson was fun. The chef took me to the local market and I learned three traditional courses.

The hotel really tried their best to arrange us a late check out since our flight was 11pm and so many late check out requests at the same day. The hotel let us check out at 12pm and Recheck-in at 6pm to get shower and relax.

Oh, I saw it once when they were cleaning the pool, they even cleaned the small stones around the pool one by one by hand. Really amazing.

After considerable research, we plumped for the Jaya House River Park Hotel having read great reviews on it. We hit gold. From the moment we arrived at the airport and were greeted by the lovely Deepool (who has created his own recipe for a delicious iced coffee – a must try), armed with cold towels and fresh fruit and a big smile, we knew this was going to be good.
The rooms are stylish, spacious and spotless. They are cleaned in the morning and again at turn-down. The beds are incredibly comfortable with lovely crisp sheets. Our room was by one of the pools with an (additional) outdoor shower (first time for everything!) and a mini terrace with lush planting and a little pond. The rooms are supplied with mosquito spray and a free mini bar. The hotel’s policy of aiming to be plastic free means body wash etc is provided in ceramic pots, drinking water in glass bottles and a metal water canister is given to each guest to take out with you (and take home!)
The hotel has 2 lovely pools, one with cascades of water falling along one side, surrounded by lush planting. When on a sunbed you will be offered iced water and the occasional titbit, always with big smiles.
The young chef has created a delicious dinner menu and breakfast is unmissable. Not only is there everything you could wish for, and more, but it was of such a high standard.
Service is everything here. Included in your stay is a shuttle service from the airport, tuk tuk rides to the town where they will even wait for you or you can use the mobile they give you to call Reception and request a pick up, a daily laundry service which is generally returned the same day and an hour’s treatment at the spa every day.
However, the best thing about the hotel is the amazing staff, overseen by Christian, a Dutch guy, who has a great relationship them, and is always on hand. Many of the young people he employs have never been to school but they have all been taught the ropes and nurtured and clearly love their jobs, plus he pays for 50% of their English tuition. They cannot do enough for you, greeting you every time you return to the hotel (why would you want to go out?!) with towels, drinks and smiles – and a squirt of mosquito repellent when you go out – and they love to teach you a few basic Khmer words and laugh at your attempts to pronounce them!
We had an amazing time at this hotel, there is no need to consider any other one in the area and we have every intention of returning to our new home from home.

We had been told that Siem Reap, and Cambodia, was amazing but didn’t know quite what to expect. We decided on Jaya House by using searches and reading reviews on the web. So we arrived at the small airport and were greeted by smiling faces, a cold towel, and an ice cold container of water, oh and some fresh local fruit, great start. A short minibus ride and the four of us arrived at our “home from home” for the next seven days. More greetings at the reception, and drinks, which had been called ahead. The place is gorgeous, stylish yet at total peace with its surroundings. Our first floor balcony suit was overlooking one of the two pools and was again stylish and very comfortable.
The pool, spa, bars, and dining facilities are all first class. But what makes this place so special is the people, all of them, and there are a lot. The culture from the GM through to ladies who prepare the beautiful fresh flowers, is one of inclusivity and friendliness. Having come from The Fullerton in Singapore, the Jaya House was a breath of fresh air.
So the staff are really friendly and it’s a nice place, what else makes it deserving of the title of my review. Well the food is amazing, from the freshly cooked breakfast through to the A la Carte fine dining in the evening. The extras offered as part of your stay, free spa use every day, my back has never felt better. Tuk-tuk service included from the hotel out to tours or bars or other restaurants in and around town. And a laundry so we arrived home in London with a clean wardrobe. Nothing is too much trouble.
We have also been indulged in language lessons from the staff, cooking tips, cocktail making advice, and how to make the best iced coffee in town. The backdrop of this is an environment that pushes to employ and get the best out of people, without harming the environment and adding something back to Cambodia. Why wouldn’t we all use bamboo straws, makes perfect sense and gives a local a job, instead of buying tonnes of factory manufactured plastic.
This place is a gem, go there, we’re going back as soon as we can to see our extended family.
