A delightful place to stay with charming hosts. I enjoyed the historical building and its furnishings and can almost imagine its first owners from 1894. If you have knee issues, its might be a challenge since all rooms are up a number of stairs,
Thanks for your review and we look forward to seeing you again next summer. Gerry
Great Made to order breakfast, small kitchenette stocked with waters, pop & Kureg Kcups. Nice wrap around porch to enjoy your morning coffee, small library, tv room, and all with a small town of Alma within walking distance.
We appreciate your review and are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Gerry
The Saravilla once must have been a beautiful property. It is a lot to keep up and could use a lot to of work. We had two beds - one probably a standard double and one some weird small size (3/4 bed?) We slept separately due to the size of the beds, and they weren't very comfortable. The bathroom across the hall needed some significant work to be clean. It wasn't that they didn't clean it from the person before, that was fine, but the caulk had mold under it, the shower mat looked well used and not like something that was put in the wash. Breakfast was adequate but not great.
The location is great and the inn keepers were great. There is a lot of room in the inn -- both in the rooms and in common spaces. Most rooms have bathroom in the room and some at least have king beds - that would have made the experience different. With significant investment this could be beautiful. We may return.
Roland and Gerry are amazing hosts....rooms are comfortable and delightful...menu is varied...food is delicious. There is a great story behind the building of this beautiful Victorian at the turn of the century...make sure you ask about it... There is a lot of communal space as well and they make you cookies for your late night munchies!
Thanks so much for your review. Gerry
The Saravilla Bed and Breakfast was a wonderful place to stay. The room was clean, quiet, and had a very comfortable mattress. The breakfast was made to order and very good! We would stay there again and recommend it to others.
