I'm sorry, but I can't quite share the euphoria surrounding this hotel.

Of course, we are operating at a very high level at this Taj Resort. Nevertheless, I did not feel as comfortable as I would have liked during my 14-day stay.

Yes, I was travelling allone. For the staff, this seemed to be an absurdity. I was asked again and again, often by the same people, whether I was really alone. No matter whether at the seating, the service or by the pool. By the third time at the latest, you would have known.

The same with the service. I always ordered the same drink both in the morning and in the evening at dinner. A waiter with a personal touch knows that from the third day onwards. The service was also often too inattentive for me. When breakfast was only served inside after a night-time thunderstorm, it was a complete mess. The waiters were totally overwhelmed and uncoordinated and the live music was far too loud. The large restaurant was more like an airport lounge.

It also bothered me that the private beaches meant that only the beach area in front of the hotel was accessible. At the border to the next hotel I was sent back in a friendly but firm manner...

Please don't get me wrong. The Taj is a really good and high-quality resort. But I would have expected a bit more at this level and price.

I would like to emphasise the hotel's restaurant ‘Varq’, which I have already reviewed separately here. It was perfect all round and at star level!

From the moment we entered the hotel I really got fascinated by the the hotel decorations and services, the team are so welcoming and they treat us with a welcome drink and prosperity necklace, not only that but they gave the children also a small gift which contains coloring crayons and stickers and activity book. To be honest I like the place a lot specially the decoration of the hotel and the rooms I like how the room has separate dressing room. Also the kids pool has a shade which very good protector for our weather. I really would give a big thank you to Mr Mohammed Hassnain for his service and politeness.
