We recently stayed at this hotel for two days, and it has far exceeded our expectations. The entire experience was mind-blowing, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional stay.

From the reception to the room service, the entire staff was outstanding. A special thanks to Mr. Mostafa Doorrman for his exceptional assistance, and to all the reception staff for their warm and welcoming service.

Luxury in Dubai is almost as standard. It’s one of the reasons you still go in the summer, even in the scorching heat.

We’ve been fortunate enough to make it to Dubai three times on holiday as a family, each in a different hotel (Grand Hyatt, La Pita and now the Taj Exotica). On our fourth visit we will absolutely be returning to the Taj.

It’s hard to know where to start. The personal and warm welcome set the tone and standard for the level of attentiveness the staff give. It’s beyond anything we’ve experienced before in Dubai, which is saying something. The desk staff were wonderful, Noor in the restaurant was great, and the staff in the Roaring Rabbit were extremely accommodating for squeezing us in on match nights with the kids.

Speaking of which, the kids club and games room were excellent, and the staff took time to play with the kids in both. Same goes for the pool staff, we can’t thank them enough.

Food was top drawer. We got an amazing deal with full board (although in terms of beverages it only includes water with soft drinks charged at £6 a can) and used the main restaurant, Roaring Rabbit and the pool bar. The buffet at night was varied (lasagne was outstanding), the portions huge on any of the a la carte (I quickly became addicted to the “child’s” lotus biscoff cheesecake” and I don’t think we had a bad meal once.

This sounds very gushing, but it’s hard to find a fault. The location on The Palm maybe makes it a bit of a chore to go out, although there’s a shuttle bus once a day to the Mall of the Emirates. There’s no small shop nearby to pick up supplies, but we did a Careem order twice and it was there within 30 minutes.

As mentioned above, part of the appeal of Dubai is to go and experience something great in terms of a new hotel, although it’s hard to know what any other could do to top this for us.
