I only stayed in this hotel for one night after departing a ship in Alexandria and was travelling home the following day , the front desk staff and restaurant/ bar staff were so friendly and helpful , the rooms were very clean and spacious and I was in room 104 which opened out to the poolside , my only problem was the smell of stale cigarette smoke in the room as I’m a non smoker. I’ll hopefully get another chance to stay here again in the future.
I stay here quite often and the staff are very welcoming and always helpful. The food in the multiple restaurants is 5 star IMHO. They can also cater to big parties and events. They have a gym that has all you require to stay fit whilst in your stay here. There’s even a football field in case your group wants to play. I highly suggest you stay here!
I was visiting again in African Hotel and I was very positive surprised: The bar was completely upgraded with new delicious menu. Also completely new sport bar was created at the courtyard. The friendly atmosphere was still there and a lot of smile and hospitality. Well done!
I've stayed at the Africana a couple of times now and I can honestly say it’s one of the warmest welcomes I’ve ever received, and I don’t just mean the weather! Located just 15mins from Borg el Arab international airport it’s a great place to stay in Alexandria, approx. 30min drive from the main Corniche in Alexandria where you'll find some lovely beaches and restaurants, the famous Spitfire bar and the lovely old Cecil Hotel which has a Chinese restaurant on the rooftop great for food and views across Alex. Africana is 20mins from Carrefour for shopping. In the other direction you can make a day of it and visit Marina or Maras Matrious the sea is clear Turquoise here.The hotel has a good mix of guests all nationalities and a nice atmosphere with gym, spa, pools, a brand new bar and restaurant 'The Kraken' just opened on site nice venue - on the Thursday night on my holiday they had a great karaoke party enjoyed by locals visiting the bar and hotel guests. Since my last visit there has been a refurbishment and it looks great. Rooms are clean, spacious and nicely decorated - love the little elephant carvings on door and wardrobe nice little out of Africa touch! Staff are great and go out of their way to help with anything, especially Michael looking after guests around the pool for drinks & food requirements in the day, Kasim in the bar, Fady and Connor in the Kraken bar and the general manager Emad is always around checking everything is perfect for guests - any issue whatsoever he will ensure is sorted. This place is not your average Egyptian hotel, all staff go the extra mile to help and the hotel tag line is appropriate..... It’s not just a place it’s a mood - i'll definitely be going back again x
It was almost a excellent hotelling experience here at Hotel Africana. Rooms are spacious, clean, trendy. It has balcony, wi-fi router in each room. Internet speed is good. They do have a swimming pool and also a big gym as well. which I didn't use. But those looks really good. Room service offered by coffee shop with variety of food and liquor. Restaurant hakunamatata offers a great food for breakfast and dinner in buffet. its really a great and tasty food. Location wise its quiet convenient to travel to Alexandria and industry zone in Borg El Arab.
