Lovely hotel with a wonderful view! The hotel upgraded us to a suite as a complimentary gesture with a small terrace and an excellent view to the sea. The room is cosy and so comfy. The breakfast was lovely and the restaurant is directly by the sea with a warm ambiance. I highly recommend it!
The room was very clean and tide but we have found cockroach dead next to the wardrobe ....the restaurant was very delicious.....the staff was very polite to us....you can have breakfast next to the sea view
We stayed at the San Giovanni for five nights in March. It was built in 1950 and has a lot of character.The rooms have been updated and are very clean and modern. Our friends had a lovely suite with a walk- out balcony.
This hotel is next to the famous and pretty Stanley bridge.
The breakfast is included in the room price. It has a large selection of American and Arabic food. You can sit inside the breakfast restaurant or go outside on the patio with a view of the bridge and water.
The staff was very accomodating and friendly. The hotel is located in a good area and in the tourist area.
I asked for a king size bed, but instead i got 2 single beds,told them it's the first night of my marriage i need the big size bed and noone did anything, instead they left the room uncleaned. And after getting back late after the wedding we waited an hour for the room service just to push the 2 beds together, which we could have done ourselves, and he didn't even get us big blankets,he left us with the single bed blankets which were very small and kept falling off, with no heating system we were frozen.
In the morning we woke up late, noone told us the breakfast time or offered to bring it up.
I mentioned that we were honeymooners and need good service and that's what we got.
I Totally don't recommend the place because of the Terrible service but i can say it really has a great location and view.
I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. It is a very good hotel for a 3-star hotel. Location is great, almost in the middle of Alexandria and you can feel you are staying in the middle of the sea, as well. The hotel atmosphere reminds you of the good old times of Egypt. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast had a wide variety of food and was delicious. Extremely helpful staff.
