The hotel was very nice and clean. It met the requirements for a good stay. The pool area was very nice but the service at the pool was a bit slow. They had convenient parking for my stay at no cost. The WiFi was a bit slow at 2M/sec but was stable and good for making wifi calls.

Had a 4th floor room at the back of the hotel overlooking trees, very quite with a good balcony to enjoy morning sun. Room kept very clean by housekeeping, bathroom great with a large walk in shower so no climbing over the bath.
Breakfast selection good, so unless you are very picky easy to find plenty to eat.
Evening buffet not so good very variable from night to night.
East access into Dubrovnik on local bus .
Outdoor pool kept clean whilst we were there, cleaned every morning. Pool towels available from wellness centre below pool

Room tip: High floors have good views back of hotel quiet.

The situation of this hotel is perfect for local facilities and entertainment plus a short bus ride to Dubrovnik. Lapad bay is lovely great nightime atmosphere.
Room- disappointed on arrival. View of a bush, room quite dark. Shower with no where to put toiletries. My husband has no sight so he had to hold his toiletries otherwise wouldn't have found them. No shelf in bathroom. Drier so slow took half an hour to dry hair. Air con great and bed comfy. Room always cleaned excellently.
Pool- a cold pool esp for August. No fight for beds which was good.
Food- lovely staff. Breakfast wasn't good. Same each day. No fresh eggs. Bacon not pleasant and coffee was vile. Dinner was ok lots of choice and veg fresh. Fresh fruit was beautiful. Ice cream would have been nice. I have been spoilt in some lovely 4 star hotels where food is cooked for you to order in the restaurant. I think Croatia thinks they are doing a really good job but the tour companies need to explain the standards required.

This hotel offers very poor value and though advertised as a 4 Star hotel, is only a 2 to 3 Star hotel in reality.
Room- Old and tatty 80's decor/ bed linen/ curtains in the room and badly needs a refurb. Shower ran hot & cold and the actual shower head holder was broken - it would be a definite safety issue getting into the bath, for an older person. Towels in room were old and tatty and far too small. No iron or tea/ coffee facilities or kettle in the room. No complimentary water or food provided either. All of the above I would expect as a minimum standard in a 4 star hotel at £200+ per night.
Swimming Pool - Very dirty and no staff around pool area to carry discarded towels and rubbish- glass left around pool area which could have been dangerous. Old and broken loungers & umbrellas badly in need of an upgrade. No pool towels supplied at all, which again is a minimum standard of a 4 Star hotel.
Food- Breakfast served the worst coffee (undrinkable) and fruit juice (nuclear ingredients) I've experienced in a very long time. Didn't eat dinner here, but it seems only a 1970's buffet style is on offer. Some of the dinner items seem to reappear again in the morning - sliced banana & chocolate sauce anyone?
Service - No staff on hand at hotel bar during the day, or at the wellness center reception desk at any point in the 3 days. Reception staff appeared terse and unfriendly on arrival. No atmosphere in any of the public areas of the hotel. Thankfully lots of restaurants and bars only a short walk away in Lapad, which offered lots of good choice and quality.
View - Only positive comment is the view of the stunning bay from the balcony in the room - choose a 4th floor sea view room though. (the park view, is basically some waste land at the back of the hotel)

Summary - The nearby Hotel More and Hotel Kompas across the bay offer much better value and a 'true' 4 star standard experience - worth paying the extra £50 per night for a room in either! Some of the previous reviewers have described this as a bouquet hotel - I'm just wondering whether they've got confused with the word bucket.......

They don't clean the room carefully. 4star hotle? Someone have to reevaluate this. Some staff is so rude and helpless. All the room is non smoking room. But when you get in the room you can smell cigar smoke. Because in croatia you can smoked out of the balcony. I think this is nonsense. And also the shower switch was broken. But they didn't realized it before I checked in. Ithink the house kipping don't used this shower tube to clean the bath tube. If you are traveling with childrens. Avoid this hotel.

Dear Madam / Sir,
You booked a standard room and got superior room. You did not report a defect on arrival. After 23 hours at night, the night master had no spare part for the shower and he did it as best he could. The next morning you did not allow our staff to enter the room to solve the malfunction. On your complaint, we have immediately approved a 20% discount. We also allowed you to stay in the room a few hours behind the check-in, which we did not charge you for. In the room smoking is not allowed, and the law in Croatia still allows smoking on the balcony. As for hotel staff, we guarantee that this is our strongest asset and that no one has intentionally offended you. We hope you will be our guest again and give us the opportunity to correct the bad impression.

Best regards from the entire hotel staff and me.
