We stayed here for a week in September 2018.
There are positives and negatives about this hotel.
Firstly it stands out as an imposing 100 year old building with lots of character. It has a fantastic location as far as getting to the beach, bars & restaurants, large supermarket and bus stops. The area in front of the hotel is pedestrianised which was nice. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The courtyard is a seated restaurant & bar area with good entertainment every evening drawing in people from other hotels, creating a good atmosphere.
The room we had was small with beds, cupboard space, TV and a tiny bathroom. The room and beds were clean as was the bathroom. Breakfast was a bit of a mixed affair. Most of the guests seemed to be Eastern European and the breakfast appeared to suit to their taste rather than ours although we did manage to make a meal of it.
This has the potential to be a really nice hotel after a complete refurbishment including removing the awful carpeting in the lobby and stairway which was ready for the bin and not needed in any case.

This hotel is very expensive for what they offer. Although we are a couple they gave us a room with double bad, the AC is very small and can’t handle the situation, they have issues with the ceiling in the bathroom and with the electrical outlet, so watch out when you come with children. This hotel needs massive improvements! The breakfest is buffet with few dishes...

Quite well located, close to the beach and to an exciting night avenue (several restaurants and boites). But (there's always a 'but') the building seems extremely old and not maintained at all. Rooms have not so good smell and are not very clean also. Almost all fixing screws on the bathroom walls were falling from the wall. The remarkable aspect is the breakfast: almost a good lunch !

Room Tip: Please take rooms with a balcony. At least you will have a nice view of the beach.

The hotel is fine for the price. In fact breakfast was fine and the location is great. Fair enough. The hotel does need a bit of TLC, but the lovely receptionists make up for any defects. I really appreciated the great and friendly service.

Visiting Dubrovnik and spending evenings in the Lapad area, this place really stands out as the worst of all of the Hotels. It is run down, dirty, unkempt and in desperate need of some TLC. A simple clean and a bit of decorating would help but it really does need much more. I don't think there is any excuse for this in the 21st century.

Room Tip: Book a different hotel
