This is nice hotel - newly refurbished. It has a good location to the old city - 20 min walk or 3 stops with line 4 from Pile gate. It has a swimming pool but it is small and crowded. You can go to a nearby beach under Hotel Bellevue or Rixos which is some 10-15 min walk downhill. Rooms are nice and big but some look into a wall and some look over a pool so it can be loud. Breakfast is good, lunch is ok but bit tasteless. They have free WiFi

Room tip: Some rooms are looking into a wall

Hotel Lero is in a great location. Around a 15 minute walk to the old town!!! It's actually a great walk along the amazing view of the ocean and beautiful flowers and plants along the way. Room were ok, but a big problem with the shower. Everytime we turned the shower on, it would overflow. We had to turn it completely off while we put on soap!!! And then turn it back on. It was very uncomfortable everytime we showered. Also, the bathroom was full of bugs, not mosquitos, but similar. My husband got several bites, especially at night.Buffett breakfast included. Very basic but it was good. Great customer service from the employees in the front desk

Room tip: If want sea view need to have basic bedroom at front of hotel. Better rooms in newer part are good but no view unless pay more for a balcony overlooking swimming pool.

We recently stayed two nights at the Hotel Lero. The prepaid reservation was made several months earlier. After driving about 7 hours to get there, we were greeted at the front desk by a receptionist who was both arrogant and condescending, could not find our reservation, and made us feel like we should turn around and find another hotel. This immediately set the tone for the first part of our stay, and, quite frankly, after staying in hundreds of hotels over the years we have rarely encountered this type welcome. In fairness to the hotel, however, all the other receptionists and staff were very friendly and accommodating during our visit.

The location itself is good, but not great. It's a decent walk to the old city and uphill on the way back. It was not an issue for us, but we could foresee it being problematic for some. The room was fine, both spacious and clean, but we unfortunately did not have much of a view. They offered to give us a different room the next day, but we opted to stay put rather than moving everything. The breakfast was very good each morning with a variety of breakfast foods. We had dinner one night at the Bosnian restaurant which is part of the hotel, and would recommend that for a nice evening meal that was different from most of the local Italian style cuisine.

Overall, we are ambivalent about our stay at the Lero. It was pleasant, but not impressive. And we would likely not stay there again if we returned to Dubrovnik.

Me & my husband stayed here for 4 nights mid June. We were able to check in quickly & efficiently, there was a problem with the card key for our room & the guy showing us to our room ran back to sort problem, no further issues after that.
Room - We had a standard room with no balcony, the room was nice & clean, felt quite spacious. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was nice, large sink area, but very small bath. There is a fridge & kettle in the room, but no iron/board. Not very sound proof unfortunately woke a few times due to people returning late making a lot of noise, or cleaners in the morning.
Breakfast - the breakfast was ok, they had pre cooked fried eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage & bacon (but the sausage & bacon was inedible for me) & all the continental breakfast selection. No English breakfast tea, every other kind of tea & coffee available. We only ate at the hotel for breakfast we did not use the bar/ restaurant, so can't comment.
Location - The location is fine if you don't mind walking, we pretty much walked all the time but there is a bus stop just outside hotel to go up & down to the old town, we never used it cuz the bus always looked busy. It's about a 15 - 20 min walk down to old town & 20 minutes to walk back (uphill). Also about a 20 min walk to the ferry port.
Pool & hotel - The pool area is nice with a cold pool, pool towels were provided. The hotel is clean & modem looking, very nice.
Overall we had a good stay, I would stay here again if visiting again.
