The hotel is well located, near the Merced Church, and has lovely staff, which were able to provide us with a little bit of things to do, but not plenty.
There's only a few rooms (and only private) and not a lot of common spaces (only a couple tables which sit 2) so don't expect meeting lots of people.

I think you are talking about another property, as our hotel has 22 rooms, a roof terrace a meeting room on the second floor and and enough space at the reception to meet with our guest

Lovely hotel that is close to the busy parts of Antigua, but on a quiet street just away from the activity. Everyone at the staff was completely helpful and friendly. I cannot thank Gerlinde, Jorge, and Vivian for all the assistance they provided in helping us make arrangements for our trip. I felt a sense of being looked after that is extremely rare in hotel stays. I would love to go back.

This hotel is clean, comfortable and in a great location. The staff arranged everything for us that we needed, including excursions, transportation to and from the airport door to door, transportation to other destinations on our trip itinerary. We rented the Air B & B on the top floor and were able to have a spacious living quarters for $50 night. This is a fantastic place to stay if you are traveling solo or want a fantastic, helpful host. I loved it!

This is a great hotel that is located just a short walk from many attractions in Antigua. Breakfast is not served in the hotel, but in the cafe right next door (the hotel will give you a ticket for breakfast). The staff is incredibly helpful. For example, my family and I were interested in touring a nearby volcano after seeing a flyer in the hotel. All it took was a brief conversation with staff at the front desk and who made the reservation for us in minutes. The van picked us up in front of the hotel a couple of hours later and we had a wonderful time. The rooms and the hotel overall were incredibly clean. The gardens in the hotel were quiet and calming. There's a great view from the roof and there are multiple areas around the hotel to sit and relax. If we're in Antigua again, I will certainly stay at the Posada La Merced.

A beautiful place to stay, well kept and the staff were very helpful and kind. The garden is lovely, the view from the roof is precious, and we were so grateful for the clear communication, the atmosphere of rest and the wealth of information that the staff impart.
