Stayed in Hotel Cirilo for a weekend while attending a friends wedding. The hotel was super nice the room was spacious and loved the natural toiletries they provide. Staff was beyond helpful and accommodating, they helped me with some laundry pressing which was great. Breakfast was good and the best part was that when I was checking out I asked for a Taxi and there were none, the person in the front-desk was kind enough to offer me a ride on his car which is going beyond hospitable and nice. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks to the staff for making this stay so great.

This is a lovely hotel with terrific service. Antigua seemed to have many nice places to stay but we think we picked the best. The manager, Oscar, was extremely helpful from emailing us promptly to answer any questions we had before we arrived, setting us up with transportation and tours and generally just being friendly and helpful. Thanks, Oscar!

The room was beautiful and the breakfasts-- with several choices-- were delicious.

We would highly recommend this hotel! It IS a bit out of town but an easy walk (although on cobblestones) into town, or a short tuk-tuk ride away.

Interesting note: we left a few items in our room when we checked out and corresponded with Oscar to see if he could send them back. Turns out Guatemala is the only country in the world without a postal system! (They do have DHS, but it wasn't that important.).

We stayed two nights here during Holy Week, and really enjoyed our time in Antigua. The hotel was very nice, very clean, and the food we had (breakfast) was good. Our only issues with the hotel are very minor. One is that the only way to cool the rooms is to open the windows, which is fine because the temperature is pleasant outside. But there aren't screens, so opening the windows means that mosquitoes come in. So we had to choose between temperature and bugs, and chose one night of each. Another minor issue is that our room (can't remember if it was room 2 or room 3) was right across the hallway from the pool, and the doors aren't soundproof, so little kids playing in the pool was a bit noisy. Also, just be cognizant that this hotel is in the northeast part of town, so if you're planning on spending your evenings in the center of town, it's a 15 minute walk or a short taxi ride. We walked and it was no issue, but if you're wearing heels or aren't in the greatest shape, walking at night on narrow cobblestone sidewalks may not be for you. If you want peace and quiet and to be away from the town center, you'll probably love it.

Stayed here one night post Acatenango Volcano hike and it was perfect. The only noise I heard was the birds chirping how happy they were to hang out in the courtyard as well.

Took the advice about room 6 and was not disappointed - a huge room with tall ceiling and a natural sun light nook.

Didn't hit the pool since it could use a skimming, but it was a nice touch.

My only gripe was the shower pressure was weak and spread wide, making it hard not to soak the bathroom floor.

Otherwise a great breakfast and helpful staff.

Room tip: Room 6 is huge and has a sun nook

When we got to the front gate, we thought “wait this can’t be right?” After we opened the gates we were extremely excited about our booking. This hotel is so unique and inviting. Our room is amazing, it has a fireplace, a loft, and remnants of the old ruins. The staff is amazing, especially Ricardo who went way out of his way to get us to our dinner location. The courtyard is beautiful, with flowers everywhere, a perfectly manicured lawn, and a relaxing pool. I’m so happy we get to stay here.
