I’m really impressed with the experience at this hotel. The property is attractive, and what you wouldn’t expect is just how great the kitchen is. There’s no room service, but the AC Kitchen has such a great selection of food options that you will want to stop by.
Fish tacos had far too many onions, but a terrific pineapple sauce.
What they called chicken mignon was more like chicken wrapped with bacon. But, it was still delicious. Served with a thick wine sauce.
The grilled chicken sandwich is solid, but the baguette really elevates it.
We had both the salmon and the bass, and both were good, though overcooked. Next time, I’ll as for them to not be cooked for so long. The risotto and the mashed potatoes are good, too.
Everything we ate here was good, and fairly inexpensive. This is a great fallback if you decide to stay close to the room for the day.
The location of the hotel is decent: it’s very close to a casino, and a variety of restaurants and shops, but my wife was concerned about walking around there at night.
The beds are firm, and the pillows are lumpy, so pack a pillow.
The TV is fantastic: maybe 100 channels, including premium channels (HBO, Cinemax) and multiple sports channels, most in English.
While more expensive hotels may be in a better part of town, you are a very cheap Uber ride away from just about anywhere (seriously…it was no more than $5 to get around). Well worth a return visit.
