I stay with my wife and grand daughter for 3 nights to Panama City staying in Westin Hotel the second time.
Bed, pillows are up to standard. We had the junior suite, so ordered an extra bed for my grand daughter. Services are great. Breakfast selection were also good. The staffs were very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel, also it is in a very good location.
I always stay at the Westin when I’m leaving or arriving in Panama. It’s a spacious clean hotel with an excellent staff that try’s hard to make their guests comfortable and try to remember your name. The restaurant and bar are also good but if you want to go so,where else there are about 15 restaurants within walking distance. Forget the crappy hotels out by the airport, stay at the Westin.
We had a nice overnight stay at the Westin. We chose it because it was handy to the airport (about 15min) and because it had a good gym. We were very happy with both aspects. The location is great, handy to the Panama Viejo ruins, if that interests you. Also, many shops and restaurants all within a few minutes walk. All the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, got us checked in quickly and even upgraded us to a higher category room. The room was spacious, bright, and airy, with great views out over the city and ocean. Everything was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The AC worked very well, as did the Wifi and TV. The bed was very comfy, the room quiet, so we had an excellent sleep. The mini-fridge was great for keeping our drinks cold. The gym was very well equipped with about 10 pieces of high-quality cardio machines, a couple of high-quality multigym weight machines, a full dumbbell set and a small selection of free weights – everything you need for a full workout. We didn’t eat our evening meal here, but the buffet breakfast was excellent with lots of fresh tropical fruits and fresh juices. Overall we had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend it to other travelers.
We didn’t know basically anything about Panama (other than about the Panama Canal that we learned in school) prior to this trip.
We were very impressed at the people in Panama (including everyone that we came across at Westin Panama), how courteous, polite, helpful and friendly they were, from all walks of life. The natural beauty of Panama was breathtaking. Overall we had a very memorable experience.
Despite showing signs of its age, this hotel still manages to offer a pleasant stay, though future guests should note that the rooms on the westside of the 10th floor are situated just above a rather noisy air conditioning unit.
However, the true highlight of my experience was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Their warmth and readiness to assist at any moment significantly enhanced my stay. A standout was Señora Elisabeth during breakfast, who made me feel incredibly welcome, especially appreciated since I was traveling alone. She attended to her section with the care and attention reminiscent of a mother ensuring her children enjoyed their meal.
Melinda at the front desk also deserves special mention for her kindness and patience, making me feel comfortable to inquire about anything. Additionally, the service line staff, particularly the lady who would address me by my name, demonstrated remarkable helpfulness. When a specific meal request couldn't be met, she patiently walked me through the alternatives, showcasing the level of service I wish to find in all my hotel experiences. It's not about grand gestures or lavish amenities but about sincere kindness and professionalism that truly makes a difference. This hotel, with its dedicated staff, certainly knows how to leave a lasting impression.
The hotel is situated like 20 minutes from Tocumen Airport in a safe area to wander around. A safe and efficient way to travel in Panama City is by Uber.
