I scheduled a publishers meeting the october 19th at 9:30 am. I arrived there like 8:30 am . The hostess was kind, and then I went to a sofa to wait the other publishers, they are from differente countries. Then, a security guard called Legister started to asking me some questions, Who are you waiting with? why are you waiting here? I responded to him every single question that he asked me. Then, he came a second time, telling me this: My supervisor and the Hotel owner are asking me what are you doing here...
In the next 10 minutes, I met a group of females, and they told me they were guests in the Hotel, and participating in the National speech competition, organized by Cable and Wireless. Then, a second coworker arrived, a woman called Casilda, and she told me, my publisher was not in the Hotel... OF course I wasn't a guest, because I scheduled them to go to the restaurant!!! by the way, I wasn't dressed inappropriately... I was wearing my tailor suit. Even if I was dressed as a tourist, I mean in bermudas and t shirt, it doesnt matter, because it was not a way to treat a guest or a future guest, or invited by a guest.... You loose an important guest, and important future relations with my publishing company, and I definitely going to tell this experience to ever single contact that I have when they ask me about a Panama City hotel to go... Bad luck... I have learned from my parents to be kind with people, doesn't matter how the people look like... I am an panamenian artist, writer and editor and I heard good references from them. But it was the WORST!!!! Never more
